Back to prepandemic prices. I got this for $64 in 2018. They were going for $300 in the summer of 2020.

I'm even more curious if this one can comfortably fit 2 adults: me 190lb and wife 140lb. Can we bring this to a lake and jump into it for a whole afternoon?

Capacity: 400 lbs / 181 kg

Why you wouldn't be able to use it for an afternoon? You do need to set it up and pack it back up so extra time is needed. But otherwise it should work fine for a leisurely day at a lake. It's not the biggest kayak but for the price and the packed size it's great.

I've had this kayak for 5+ years and I think this was the price I payed so this is a good deal in 2023. I use it a couple times every summer. Never had an issue. Longest stint was 4hrs down a lazy river. Holds myself (140lbs) and girlfriend (150lbs) no problem. Can hold more for sure. Setup and tear down is quick and easy. Takes about 10 mins before and after (probably longer your first time).

Thanks! Do you use the included hand pump to pump it up, or a separate battery-powered one? Does it feel fairly stable?

I have a similar inflatable kayak, and it's worked great for paddling around our local lakes and bays. It's obviously not built for speed, but it's a cheap and easy way to get out on the water.

Still available for me @ 11:40 EST. Perhaps it is by region because it says delivery available tomorrow.

Yeah. You can pop out the front seat and cruise solo no problem.

Odd, might be local pick up? It won't let me add to cart

While looking I came across this Kibhous explorer 2 inflatable kayak

https://www.walmart.com/ip/Explor...irect=true

It's twice the price of the intex's sale price, but the reviews are over 200 and all but three gave it 5 stars. Any input on this model. If it is much better I figure spending more could be worth it.

I bought a similar model Intex Explorer (basically a yellow, banana-shaped kayak) and it had a 1/2 inch plastic seam that sticks up right where your hands go as you paddle. Got a terrible rash from a couple hours on a lake and had to return it.

Hard to tell from the photos, but this one may have the same design flaw.
