Criterion is Menards' own brand. I wasn't able to dig up exactly who makes them. I think some of the different Criterion appliance categories are each manufactured by different companies. I thought I figured it out that it was made by Midea, but I can't corroborate that.

In any case, I pulled the trigger as a low 45db, stainless steel tub, top-control for this price just made good sense. Fingers crossed for some decent quality control and reasonably capable performance.

I was hoping it would be a rebadged Whirlpool, GE, etc. Please post back after you get it installed and ran a couple washes on the performance!

I looked at one in store today. Made in China, so likely Midea, Haier or one of the major manufacturers. Build quality seemed good, but only so much you can tell by looking at a unit. Looking at the sound insulation I believe the 45dB rating. Definitely not fingerprint resistant outside though.

If I was in the market for a new SS DW, I'd give it a chance at this price. I'm a DIYer though so repairs don't scare me. Parts availability ... well no idea about that.

Looking at the warranty card it is a Midea. I cant find a direct model of a re badge though.

I checked Menards' website on a whim this morning since I've been looking to replace the 11-year-old GE dishwasher that was in our condo when it was build back in 2011 and saw it was on sale. I've been watching this dishwasher for the last 6+ months and this is the best deal I've seen yet.

My city offers a $100 rebate for Energy Star appliances so with the current sale + rebate + $160 Menards rebate I think this is a no brainer for us, especially considering our home is not a long herm home and we are considering turning it into a rental anyway.

It's definitely a Midea, as I originally thought. I'm still searching for exact model, but you can see this Forno (and many other no-names like Thor, Vinotemp Brama that I've found) that have the same exact top panel and this one even still has the Midea logo on it.

Forno example for comparison from Home Depot [homedepot.com]
