Overall I find the 8/9 to be about the same, you will want to look into settings to stop the overheating.
The 10 imho was a waste as it was only slightly better then the 9 for video but even with changing settings was hard to get to not overheat.
i really like the 11 but that's because while i film 16:9 90% of the time the 4:3 is great for YouTube shorts and tiktok (I dont use it on tiktok). Also it has 10 bit color if that's important to you.
So what i am saying is if you have the money go for the 11(and there should be some discounts around thanksgiving for this), but this is a really good deal imho for an 8

I bought go pro 11 mini a month ago same exact price. Go pro 11 has better video stabilization. It really depends what you'll be using it for you might be able to get better info on youtube than anyone can explain here in a deals forum. but I have used in the car and the video stabilization has come a long way in the go pro 11 vs previous versions.

Yes, you need to cancel before it ends. If you remove the subscription, it ironically gets even more expensive. They are hoping to entice you to continue the subscription after 1 year. For brand new, this is the best deal compared to anywhere else. I think GoPro 8 is good for the average Joe. But if you are more of an adventure type person, then you may want to invest in the newer models.
