I received the phone from FedEx today. I paid through PayPal and only got the order confirmation email from Mint, nothing that the phone had shipped. Order status tracking thru Mint also showed nothing until today.

I think no one has reported getting shipping confirmation email from Mint. Just an update to the order status, and then whatever emails you've requested from FedEx (2-Day Air BTW)

ported my GV number as well. the unlock ($3) was instantaneous.
got my phone today and the actual port of the gv number to mint took a couple minutes with no issues.

I was impressed at how quickly it went. I also replaced that GV number into the account with a really good one. (their search tool will let you pattern search a good many time before stopping you). I do note that Google also reflected the number being gone at the same time and had no issue allowing me to use the old Google Voice number that got moved to Mint as the verification phone number for the new GV number on the account. So, Google knew it was no longer a VoIP number.

If you're not fussy about cases, I bought this one last night from Amazon.com for U$3+tax (overnight shipping, just came). https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B9MS13DJ

I always buy the cheapest case I can find with fastest delivery, usually TPU or silicone, so I've got something to protect it while I play with it. Figure I'll buy a better case with slower delivery after. Almost never do.
That lip about the glass of the case looks skinny, not sure it would provide adequate protection

You won't know until after 45 days whether the 6 months gets removed.
Yes...I'll have to wait and see.

Even if I only get 6 months, I still prefer getting the new number instead of porting in, but it could also end up being where they cancel my plan fully if I don't port.

I don't need the plan, so I'll wait things out from a pure curiosity perspective.

The reason I think I'll get the 12 months, however, is that they were sending me various emails along the way with the last one stating they had successfully transferred my number...even though they DID NOT port in anything!

Could be, looks the same as my others'. I'm only trying to protect the screen from scratching when I put it face down on a table. The only one that's been scratched was an old Moto X1 where the only case I could find some ultraslim that had ZERO extension above the screen. I'm more concerned about the corners not having enough protection with this case, but I intended this primarily as a temporary fix while I decide if I'm keeping and then set it up (though I also said my intention to buy something better always gets abandoned in favour of "good enough" defined as "better than nothing and at least I can grip it". Smilie )

If it already has a label printed, you'll probably end up getting the phone.
Yep you were correct. Despite cancelling the order, the delivery via FedEx is scheduled for tomorrow. Unless there is a last minute reroute to sender, guess this will be my second pixel 7 on this deal. Once the wife learned it's getting delivered she wants me to keep it. Not sure what we'll do with all these phones other than the little ones using it for target practice LMAO

fingerprint is awesome, better than my last last phone. Updates, helped, like on youtuber said, don't buy these buggy phones new.

I'm adjusting but it hasn't been easy leaving my S20+ behind. I didn't like all that bloatware but it has SD slot and better screen.

I failed to get anything out of safelink with text support so I'll go with GV for now. I was just hoping for more google offers like youtube TV for a month. I guess the photo storage is nice, just need to find something to shoot.

has anyone ported a TELLO number into Mint. I might try that for fun, my Tello Dollars are running low. And when you do port does it require payment method on file with mint, even though it's a year free?? Thanks

Just to update on this. I just went over to Target and Bestbuy to look at and compare to their display models. ALL of them had washed out colors and yellowing of whites. One 6a at Target was a little better, but my old G* Power and the Samsung A51 right next to it were noticeably better. I also got second opinions from staff while there and they all saw it as well.
Try doing a factory reset and also increase the brightness.

I put redpocket sim in the phone and it is not able to send text. The connection goes away after sometime and I have disable reenable the sim to get the connection back and it goes away in a bit. I didn't insert mint sim yet.
Did anyone try putting a foreign sim to see if it is unlocked ?

I have ported my number from Tello to MINT with no issues. Its a simple process. But I haven't used this deal. I have ported my number in last November when they had buy 3 get 6 Months on sim card.

If it was locked it would not accept the SIM at all and would ask for an unlock PIN. Try getting a new RP sim or eSIM.
