As always with Walmart clearance, likely little chance but found 3 of the Eufy G32 Pros at two different stores here (NoVA). Bought 2, left one at the Burke store. None at any other area stores.

+1 for the "wild goose chase" in the title. Fair warning. Applause
Isn't collecting dust the point of the product? Sounds like the bobsweep is working as intended. Wink

whats the point of mapping if it doesn't retain the map, and you can not coordinate off areas?

i understand if its just a 'here look what I did" kind of thing, but i'd rather wait and pay more for one that is a bit more customizable....and the longer I wait to buy one, the better the technology gets for the dollar, but till then i will have to do without.

These should not be regarded as deals. It's just baiting!

Is there any way to block off areas in the software that I'm missing?

To bad. Would make this a superb vacuum; especially for the price.

Anyone know if there's a way to root or jailbreak these robovacs?

I'm talking something like this project (unfortunately G32 is not listed as compatible)

Don't know about rooting them but as far as blocking them from the Internet not sure you need to replace the firmware. I just blocked mine and at least so far they still work from the app. Have to play around with it more to see what might not work otherwise and/or over time. I'd expect that you wouldn't be able to control them from outside of your network obviously (at least without VPN in). Also not sure what the app itself may send back.

ETA: Also blocked app access to anything and I can still control the vac independently with Home Assistant. The eufy vac integration isn't cloud-based. So that's promising.

If you can find it, it has been pretty good. Generally finds its way home, does a good job collecting dust.

It is kindof a bull in a china shop. It manages to push around my dining room chairs. Once drug a shoe 3 rooms over by the laces before erroring.

The mapping is annoying, as it starts new every time you start a cycle, but it generally gets through the house. When its battery is low, it'll come home, charge, then pick back up.

I found it a good deal at $99.

I got this. It actually plans routes(most cheap one just bounce around till it hits every area by chance) and was decent but i decided to return it for the Wyze that is 150 and actually saves maps. Mapping is a big improvement especially since it allows you to do no go zones and do one room or another instead of the whole floor. 58 is a great price though.

After upgrading from one like this to one with Lidar, it would be really hard to recommend this type. The one with Lidar develops an efficient cleaning pattern while this type just fumble around until they run out of battery and *hopefully* find their way back to the charging station.
