I've been paying $10/m for platinum plan in two vehicles for a few years now. The trick is to cancel each plan at the end of it's one year term, and within a week or two, they will send a $5/m for 1Y offer to reup. Honestly, don't really listen to it enough to justify paying any more than we do now.

Does it work for a rental car? Instead of adding the overpriced SiriusXM addon from car rental companies, can I enter the Radio ID of the rental car and get the 3-month trial for $1?

If you price in the amount of crap you need to go through to cancel after promo period - and suffer through constant deluge of junk snail posts for the rest of your life - perhaps Apple music subscription is a better deal
