I got this back at $800. I've never heard better personally. The biggest thing that impresses me about this unit is I can listen below "15" on the volume and don't feel like a miss anything I might hear at "30", for example. The sub, especially, is extra competent at lower volumes. No dropouts on my unit. A+

Well I ended up pulling the trigger. I stacked cb from another site for $50 back and paid via PayPal where I had a 13% Samsung cashback offer saved. If everything works out I would have paid $1,014 -$50 -$132 = $832 after tax.

Already got email confirmation from PayPal for the cb.

I asked them if they can give me additional discount. The rep asked if I love samsung products. I said yes and I own many samsung appliances. The rep gimme 10% off.

I also use a Ubiquiti AP. I only watch stuff from a Chromecast that is connected to the HDMI on the soundbar directly and then HDMI from the soundbar to the TV. I wonder if that could be causing issues.
I had no luck getting a consistent experience when using the HDMI ports on the soundbar for inputs. Once I used the HDMI eARC ports between the TV and soundbar, and all of the sources to the TV, the issues went away. I tried Optical but that too seem inconsistent (I may try again so I can have one more input).

I did not have any drop-outs, though, just couldn't get the right source to work properly when I had some on the soundbar.

Not sure if anyone else who ordered yesterday had the same experience, but I got the shipping notification on mine within probably an hour of placing the order, and it's going to be delivered WAY earlier than the product page told me it would (it was supposed to come middle of next week, and now it's coming on Thursday of this week). Tracking number confirms it's actually moving too. Not sure if I barely made some magical time cut off for their shipping for the day or something, but damn Samsung's logistics operation is smooth.
I ordered on Jan 20th. The BB pickup option was in 3 days, the expected date for free shipping was Feb 24th which I chose as I no longer have a truck. It was delivered on Jan 23rd.

Probably just a tactic to save them shipping charges since most would not be patient enough for that type of purchase. When they leave that much lead time, they risk order cancellations.

There are many companies that participate on programs with Samsung. Abenity is one such program that companies use.
Can confirm that both my work email and edu email work on their website for promotional offers.

Can confirm the same issue with my 2020 Samsung setup. Q90T 75" TV + HW-Q900T soundbar. My Apple TV 4k said to plug directly into the sound bar then eArc from sound bar to the TV for the best audio but I'd either have random issues with the sound bar not seeing the input or I would have lag between the sound and video. Plus Q Symphony couldn't be enabled. Messed with it for a while and ended up plugging the Apple TV into the TV's HDMI 1 and then the eArc from the TV to the soundbar. Consistently works with no audio issues.

You'd think in 2023 this would be easier and things would just "work".

Got confirmation for $50 cb two days after order. So in total that's $182 back between PP and the cb site. That makes this cheaper than the $800 price in Jan

My concern is it's likely going to be replaced by the q990c soon, and as quickly as it sells out when it gets down low we might not see it at 800 again when they can likely close these out through retail outlets at this current price or higher.
^^ This is my dilemma. If I wait too long, Samsung will sell out of these and retail closeout prices won't be this low as stock will be low as well. I have to think manufacturing/packaging of these is winding down with the 990C hitting stores in a month. Decisions 🤔...

nice. I received CB as well from another site, but only 10 bucks. Better than nothing!

So I chatted with a rep and asked for a combo of a QN90B and a HW-Q990B. They offered 2 years of free Samsung care on the TV. Cool. They gave me a cart: $2400 for the TV, $1200 for the soundbar, and the free Care+. I logged into my account which has the EDU discount, closed the window, then logged into PayPal. Activated the 13% off, clicked the link to shop Samsung, went into my cart. With the EDU discount the TV dropped to $2160 and the soundbar to $840, still got the free Care+. Said F it, bought it. Total with tax was $3200. PayPal reward points hit my account 10 minutes later: 41632 points so $3200 - $400 = $2800 total for both.

I just bought a TV at regular price and got the sound bar for free. I win today.

Honestly, I bet most people can use the AAA portal. They only ask for a first and last name + zipcode. It probably would not be too hard to guess a common name in a large populated area, and hit a AAA member.

I saw $1050 yesterday but it's coming up at $1275 today... may be dead?
Edit: Never mind - I added to cart and it was back to $1050.
