Dont all the non-OEM (or cheap) versions of these cables always break/stop working?
Hit or miss. I've had better luck with the nylon braided type which these are. Some may work fine for charging but not for connection to a PC, always recommend an OEM Apple cable for that. The 6ft length is nice, 3 ft is too short most of the time.
MFI used to mean something. I think apple is pulling in the last few dollars allowing no name "companies" to make cheap lightening cables. IDK, maybe HaoKanDe is a reputable brand?

I've had enough break on me that I just flat out avoid cheap non branded ones. The "cheapest" ones that haven't given me issues so far are from Monoprice.

Is it independently verifiable that it's MFI and they're not just lying on the listing?
These days it's clear that there's 5 different brands each selling the same one product and somehow they all have 6k+ reviews and when one gets taken down another new brand pops up selling the same one ready to go with another 6k+ reviews.
In short: the cost for lying on a listing (getting caught and shit down) seems to be much cheaper that it used to be.
