Fyi, this is SJTW. Thermoplastic is a pita when temps are cold.
It's probably not the wire, but the plug ends that are the weak link here.
Even the MSRP price for a 10 gauge 50 footer seems pretty cheap

For cold weather usability... Look for something with an E in the cable type like SEOOW or SJEOOW which is a thermoplastic elastomer jacket. Relatively light weight and durable enough, good compromise. Or a thermoset rubber jacket like a SOOW or SJOOW but bulky and heavy and not easy to drag around but very flexible.
Anything with a T in it like this cord (SJTW) is a thermoplastic jacket and it is the hardest of the three in cold weather. The other two types are not cheap.
You can search for snow blower extension cords but verify they are not actually thermoset plastic (T) and not just being marketed as "good in cold weather" because they won't be. "T" is rated for low temperatures electrically and protection wise but hella hard and not user friendly. If the marketing material for a specific cord does not specify the cable type, 99% chance it is a T cable. Any UL listed cable should have the markings of what it is repeated along on the cable itself.
