Per an Amazon review (w/ 5 stars) "I bought a 64 oz bag at one of the big box stores, but it's out of stock now. It's a shame because it was a fantastic deal there. If you like dark roast, this is probably the best you will find. I'm a fan of Starbucks, and honestly I think Scandinavian Blend tops anything I've had from Starbucks. The aroma is amazing, and the beans are dark and oily."

This is my go to bean, and my grinder is mostly ok with it. its not starbucks oily, I do need to shake the unit sometimes when the beans are not flowing.

Not nearly as oily as some of the beans I buy. There's a slight sheen to them but not overly oily for sure. I just looked at some of these beans because I have some as a backup mainly because I didn't care for this coffee that much when I bought the last bag.

The darker roasts tend to be more oily. The oil and hot water emulsify to form crema. The presence of oil on light roasted may indicate old (stale) coffee beans that has migrated to the surface of the beans.

So, is it a good thing, well sometimes.
