The two users arguing back and forth, do us all a favor and take it to PMs. No cares about the pointless back and forth which has nothing to do with the deal.

This is the same outlet pricing they run every couple of months at this point.... Usually outlet stuff are returned or scuffed or something but they're full warranty so shouldn't be a concern.... the PB2k at $599 is a terrific deal for a moderately sized space

It's been this $599 price now for months! they made too many of them or they did not sell as many as they thought because previously when they made more of these pb's they were $499 and they sold like hot cakes. Honestly, the $599 price are not returns, they are just trying to get rid of them and by saying they are "outlets" units, they can price it $599. You can still go on there site and buy it for $699 but that is just to save face with there dealers who are mostly selling it for $699 even thou I have seen a few of them drop it down to $599 on amazon from time to time for brand new unit. That said, the Pb-2000 is a very good sub, two of them really work well in a moderate sized room! SVS Customer service is Outstanding!! This sub , however, would be even better at $499 like a few years ago!!

Quanties are limited, but you can save an extra $50 if you can find a blemished unit. Ordered a PB-2000 with a tiny nick in the veneer(?) for $550. 1000 series can be had for $350 if you find one.

It is. So are Apple, Nike, and thousands of other American companies that use overseas production.

Any thoughts if two pb-2000 will be better than one pb-3000? one drawback of pb-2000 is it does not have Bluetooth.

I believe Room correction Audyssey MultEQ XT32 will be sufficient to set it up.
Audyssey is very very bad at "aligning" multi-subs, even XT32. It doesn't seem to measure FR response during the first step where it combines them into a single sub, just matches volume and timing/phase. This is going to produce massive phase cancelation nulls at certain frequencies in a lot of rooms. Given the length and propogation of bass waves in small rooms, and the way we hear them, you don't necessarily want subwoofers phase or volume matched, you want to adjust them independently to produce the most linear frequency response when they're all combined together. Again, Audyssey doesn't do this, takes a lot of trial and error analysis. You have to do it manually with a mic/software and the dials on the sub/a MiniDSP, then Y-cable them all to a single port on the AVR. This lets Auyssey correct the single global sub without forking up the volume/phase of the independent subs.

On a related note, and for many of the same reasons, it's also terrible at setting the crossover point. It always sets it too low, then people change it, and the poor phase match between the mains and subs introduces large frequency response nulls.

I have a pair of PC-2000 Pros and love them. I started with a PB1000 but returned it because it did not have app control. Not sure if that is still the case but the app control is worth the extra money in my opinion.

Is that point made to disprove his statement? If so, it's a logical fallacy.

I'm sure sales are way off. I've been seeing items go on sale the last month or two that never go on sale or if they do it is usually only on black friday.

How many attempts to disprove a statement begin with "It is.", a clear, succinct, and unequivocal affirmation of said statement?

LoL! Reading is fundamental.

If you're looking for a sub and don't want to be spend a ton of time researching just grab a PB2000 and be happy.

I would counter that's misleading, there are other factors that play a big role with this like quality of your speakers, the placement of them, room layout & its acoustics.
It will happen to any RC & it will not fix any of those.

Being able to manipulate your results is a main benefit to better RC's like Dirac,MultEQ-X,etc.
I don't know anyone that doesn't make changes to the results with these better RC's.

Adding Audyssey's app to XT32 opens up some beneficial adjustments that are well worth its weight in gold IMO.
