I'm confused. What is attractive about this deal? 8TB for $500 ?
It's an SSD?

I feel like this could be the bottom line for SSD. They won't produce more SSD if the price went too low.

This is for storage space not performance especially for those older computer. I need 1 at this capacity for my audio transport but not biting at this price. I'll wait til it drops to $400

I'm hoping for $15/tb because it would mean the elimination of spindle drives.

it will happen eventually. even if they only go as low as 20 or 25/tb it won't matter because ain't nobody making new hard drive making machines. they're milking every year they can get out of them at this point.

I'm buying it for QNAP. for me it's important to have SSD, more GB but i don't need super speed since QNAP is already clocked. M.2 is not an option.

There are qnap NASs supporting nvme ssd but the price is higher without much performance improvement. Nvmes consume more power as well...

Very much alive. If you are logged into your EPP, it shows price in your cart.
