Those things are incredible, I guess I need to learn how they feel to play.

That bridge is nuts, so many new fangled things on this thing... here is a video to click and check it out. I think having an SD pickup called a "Nazgul" might tip the scales in favor of Big Grin

The kahler system alone is over 500 bucks

Go for it if you have the balls to wield these Axes. They are amazing like everyone else said. I got the Dean Kahler and OMG Floyd sucks.

I don't have the mad skills for 7 or 8 strings.

Need to find someone that can play lead better to review this guitar. Would be super interesting to pick this up to play though.

I'm an accomplished lead guitarist (or was in my day). Semi pro for a few years, musicians guild member, lots of studio work. I gotta say that I don't like playing this type of guitar, I've tried many times over the years and was even given one in the early 2000s for gigs by this company. I found the string spacing too small, the action too rigid (probably due to the extra tension from the extra strings), and I could never get the action right. Honestly, my recommendation is to buy a good 6 string and drop D if you want to go low. Just my 2 cents.

Are you sure you're talking about the same guitar? This is multi scale. The scale length balances the string tension to make it playable across all strings. I do find it kind of weird to play a seven string, but for me personally, the string tension isn't one of the reasons.
