Card Details:
  • Earn unlimited 1.5 points per $1 spent on all purchases, with no annual fee and no foreign transaction fees and your points don't expire.
  • 25,000 online bonus points after you make at least $1,000 in purchases in the first 90 days of account opening - that can be a $250 statement credit toward travel purchases.
  • Use your card to book your trip how and where you want - you're not limited to specific websites with blackout dates or restrictions.
  • Redeem points for a statement credit to pay for travel or dining purchases, such as flights, hotel stays, car and vacation rentals, baggage fees, and also at restaurants including takeout.

Amazing how once the banks started failing, Wells Fargo and BOA jump to offer all these promotional deals to acquire and keep clients.

For Bank of America it seems to be 24+ months [thepointsguy.com] makes you eligible to apply for a card you previously held. Which then makes you eligible for the signup bonus.

So you would just need to make sure you closed it 24+ months ago. Peace

This particular deal has been in my inbox for many months, possibly 1+ years.

This is the BoA Travel Rewards standard SUB that's been in place for as far back as I can remember. Is SD posting this due to sponsorship reasons or what?

For practical purposes, the Silver card is better - the same as this one except you get cash back at the same rate rather than redeeming for travel expenses. The signup bonus is bit less at $200. Might be some difference as far as foreign trans-fee - but for use within USA - no reason to take travel reward rather than cash reward at same rate.

They've always had sign up bonuses like this. This isn't even one of the better ones. BoA Premium Rewards has 50k sign up bonus, $100 Airline incidental per calendar year and TSApre/Global entry reimbursement.

Can you use the 25000 bonus points to pay this BOA credit card bill?

This is a standard offer; nothing special. But this is a good card for travel, more so if you have a prefered relationship with BOA. No foreign transaction fee is a plus. You will get about 2.6% cashback on everyday purchase under certain conditions.
