FYI: Although the "2023 Line On Us P6" should only apply to people on the Magenta Max plan with no preexisting free lines, their system is allowing many people with existing free lines on Max to get the promo.

ok, if for some reason that green checkmark is not coming up then what can i do? my phone was bought on att and paid off and unlocked and ported to tmobile.
It should work. Try it anyways. If the line doesn't get activated on the eSIM, you can always walk into a store and get a physical sim. Since, you would've already added the line at that point, they'll probably just charge you $10 for the sim. You shouldn't be charged the $35 DCC though.
I am curious who else has gotten as sweet a deal as mine or if I just lucked out over the years. I had the $15 byod plan from sprint then added a free line unlimited. Total with taxes was like $25. Then when I was forced to TMobile they flat out gave me two free pixel 6s, then later unlocked them randomly. Then I price locked in the 25/m home internet to boot. So two lines unlimited, free pixels, and home internet for $50 all taxes and charges included after autopay discounts. Also a $100 gift card for the home internet.
Add another successful data point for it working despite already having free lines:
I have Magenta Max, 2 paid lines and 6 free lines. T-Force via Twitter said I'm not eligible for this, but T-Mobile App support said I qualified. I added a line by myself on T-Mobile.com and activated the eSim using my iPhone 14 Pro, and after about half an hour, my online account shows "2023 Line On Us P6".
So it says 30$ monthly but likely to show up free as promo ? Already have free line though
Got my free line this morning. Two paid and two free and i just became a customer a week ago.
What steps did you take to get your free line?
I just converted my Tmo One All-in where I was paying $106 for 3 lines to Magenta Max for $112. I've been paying for Netflix so the extra $6 was worth it for me to finally switch to MM.
Thanks in advance

I'm confused. I only have one line, Magenta, on my account. If I call in and upgrade to Magenta Max, add another Magenta Max line so that I can add a free Magenta Max line? Then cancel the second paid Mangenta Max line to keep the free Magenta Max line? If so, that would be awesome. Would I have to pay the prorated fee for the second paid line?
Assuming the terms are the same as in every other free line promotion of the past, you would have to wait 12 months to cancel any paid line on the account in order to maintain the free line going forward. If you cancel the paid line before 12 months of receiving the free line, the free line promotion goes away. Like the past promotions, I believe you need to have 2 paid lines on the account in order to get the free line so your plan wouldn't work because of this requirement as well.

What a does a free line that will not be used offer me? I have no free lines currently on my family plan of 5.
I have friends and extended family members on my family plan. They pay a year in advance at a time. So if you get a free line, you could find someone who would want a cheap Magenta Max line for $20 or $25/month, effectively reducing your annual phone bill by say $240 or $300. Just make it clear the phone # stays with the account (have them use google voice to keep their current phone #) or when they leave and want to keep their number, go through the work of creating a Digits line to port out the Digits number w/o losing the free line (as the free line would get assigned another phone # once the Digits line is created). Or look into putting that phone sim into a mobile router/hotspot for internet access (with some technical finagling) sorta like T-Mobile's home internet offering.

I have the Magenta Max Military plan and after chatting with a rep on the app they said since I have a, discounted plan I was not qualified, and trying to add a line says it'll be 20 bucks a month. So I doubt it will work for such plans.
