Any data point to activating the new lines on eSIM? Do I have to do it at the time of activation or any time once the line has been added to my account?
the representative asked me what phone i would be activating it on. i just told them i would be using a backup phone. as i wanted the sim card. If i had said eSim then i believe they would of asked for more info to activate it immediately.

So I can't pick eSIM and activate at another time?

Do I have to pay $35 if I go with an eSIM?

Those who are taking a gamble by adding online even though not eligible and who took part in December free line.

If this promotion drops off/not honored and becomes a paid line, will you cancel putting the December line at risk?
Stay positive !

Thank you! Could I end up getting four MM where two are paid and two are free? TMO's website is advertising that I get one free line with two paid Max lines. Now with this promo, won't I get another free line? If I have two paid and two free lines, will I be eligible for a 4-line autopay discount?

Also, since I'm already a current customer, will I ever be able to take advantage of an insider promotion? A quick search on Google shows that they're only for new customers. It'll be a pain just to migrate to AT&T and port back to TMO.
A new customer could start a new MM plan with 3 lines, one of them free. Then add a fourth line which would be free under this promotion. Your issue is opening a new MM plan to take advantage of this 3 lines, one free, since you're already a T-Mobile customer. If you're married, a spouse could start the new plan with a new social security #. Then you'd have to figure out how to get your existing number over to a line on the new account, presumably by a port-out, port-in if a direct transfer isn't doable.

As for the insider discount, it's unlikely but possible for existing customers to get it added to their account [reddit.com]. Don't count on it though.

Thank you so much!

Unfortunately for me, I'm not married nor do I know anyone else with an SSN.

Given my situation right now, what can I possibly do? I guess I'll have to live without an insider discount code for the foreseeable future. If I upgrade my Magenta plan to Max and add a second Max plan, will I at least get the third line for free?

Why would I have a problem getting a fourth line for free?

I forgot to ask this earlier. For those with multiple Magenta Max plans, do you get multiple Netflix and Apple TV+ discounts or only one per account and that's for the primary account holder?

Thank you!

Read the post you quoted again. That person said you would get the 4th line for free under this promo. I just wouldn't do it all in 1 transaction, but that's just me.

I got my free line through esim iphone 14. I bought it online myself. I didn't bother contacting anyone as I've been through these free lines before.

Now I need to find a free phone to use it. I'm not sure how to transfer an esim to a physical sim later on when I do get the free phone.

I don't see how the december line is at risk. Reps have told me in the past, cancelling a paid line that existed before getting your free line would put the free line in jeopardy. However, cancelling a paid line that you added after getting your free line shouldn't have any bearing on your free line. The rule is in place so that you are not swapping a paid line for a free line.

I think I understand you. So even though I'm a current customer, if I call Mobile and upgrade from Magenta to Mangeta Max, adding another Max line will automatically get the third Max line for free? I'm assuming the free line won't help bring down the price of the two paid lines?

So when I should I call to add my fourth line or the second free line? A week later or when the credit shows up in the account?

Will I have to pay a $35 activation fee for each of the four lines including upgrading from Magenta to Max?

Honestly, you should be asking a rep this because i don't know how they manage the tird line free for preexisting customers. I was only saying that once you do have 3 lines (or even 2 lines but try to get the third line free through the other offer first), you will qualify for this promotion. No, i wouldn't risk waiting a week. this promo could end by then. Maybe wait a day or even less as long as the first 3 lines are showing on your account.

Call them up to do a sim change. It's easy and free.

because the original post said you qualify only if you have no free lines and at least 2 existing lines, I think most people have not bothered to come back to this thread to find out it works for people with existing free lines. If this was stated from the start, this thread would be in the 1000+ by now, not 200+. I was surprised that even most of the reps didn't know about this promo.

I guess that's a good thing?

btw this is great timing, 1 extra MLB.tv code to trade on March 28.
