because the original post said you qualify only if you have no free lines and at least 2 existing lines, I think most people have not bothered to come back to this thread to find out it works for people with existing free lines. If this was stated from the start, this thread would be in the 1000+ by now, not 200+. I was surprised that even most of the reps didn't know about this promo.

I guess that's a good thing?

btw this is great timing, 1 extra MLB.tv code to trade on March 28.
It's one MLB code per line?

So you don't know how or whether having free lines on the account will bring down the cost of the paid lines?

Given my situation right now, what can I possibly do? I guess I'll have to live without an insider discount code for the foreseeable future. If I upgrade my Magenta plan to Max and add a second Max plan, will I at least get the third line for free?

Why would I have a problem getting a fourth line for free?
After you add a second paid MM line, you would then add a third line which will hopefully be free under this promotion. I have no clue if you can add both at the same time (likely) or do them a day apart. People aren't getting two free lines under this promotion so you shouldn't expect to get a fourth line free by adding yet another line.

The only feasible way to get two paid MM lines and two free lines right now is to start a new account with the third free line from that new account promotion. Then add a fourth free line from this promotion.

Where does it say the free line has to be from a new account? I don't see it on TMO's website. I'm technically getting a new Max line and adding another paid line so I should qualify for the promotion online. This LOU is a separate promotion. I guess I won't know unless I ask. Do I just call customer service by pressing 611? I don't know what is T-Force.

So does this work for older ONE All in plans with free tablet lines? I selected a new line with sim online and it shows $0..

If it is like in the past, it is one MLB code per line.

I am not sure what you mean by free lines bringing down the cost of paid lines.

The only thing i can think of is in the situation of going from 8 lines to 9 lines, which changes the billing system and so the free lines get a credit of $40 instead of $35. Use a Magenta Max calculator spreadsheet below and play around with how many free lines you have and paid lines. So going from 3 paid and 5 free lines with autopay and insider discount would be $136. Add a free line puts you at 3 paid and 6 free lines at $96! One caveat from going to 9 lines that nobody tells you. If you have the 2 line on us promo in which you got 2 free lines a long time ago, you may lose the discount of one of those lines. At least that's how it was last year for me but maybe they fixed it. Before 9 lines, the 2 lines on us shows up as a $70 credit (35 x 2). After going to 9 lines, it shows as a single $40 credit. Again i am hoping they fixed it, but right now after going to 9 lines with this promo, my account is showing 2 lines on us with a $80 discount but I am not sure if it will stick (can't remember if it showed this last year when i went to 9 lines). But even so, with 4 paid lines and 5 free lines will bring me to $128, still an $8 savings (and an additional line).

I must have made a few attempts to ask this and I really don't know how to be any clearer. So one line is $85/month and two lines are like $70/month or $140 in total. For four lines, I forgot what each line's cost is per line, but surely it's cheaper per line than having one paid line on my account. So if I have two paid lines and two free lines, will I get a similar discount as having four paid lines? Or I'll only get a discount for two paid lines? Will having the free lines on my account influence how much discount I get?

I don't see how the december line is at risk. Reps have told me in the past, cancelling a paid line that existed before getting your free line would put the free line in jeopardy. However, cancelling a paid line that you added after getting your free line shouldn't have any bearing on your free line. The rule is in place so that you are not swapping a paid line for a free line.
I thought that with the December free line you could not cancel any line for a year AFTER adding the December free line.

I may be wrong but want to eat my options if I possibly switch from old ONE plan to Magenta Max and things don't work out.

Yes, but my understanding is that only pertains to the line you have before getting the free line. Adding a line after the free line and cancelling it shouldn't affect it but you need to ask a tmobile rep to be sure.

2023 Line On Us P6
targeted to very specific customers.
Apparently the folks getting discounts for "55+" are never selected for these free line promotions. I did find one thread saying I might qualify for a free line if I add a line to the account. The T-Force people gave a polite "no" and said I should monitor a promotions page. https://www.t-mobile.com/offers?I...8xF3g0xCDw

That one says I'd have to call 611 for any free line promotion. I'd rather go to a Costco kiosk and avoid the $35 fee and get $150 shop card. I have a family line to bring over but without a device subsidy I would need a free line for myself and a shop card to make it worthwhile.

Has anyone tried a buy one, get one on just the phone line? I'd love to know if the Magenta Max 55+ can actually qualify for something as I will never be offered these other promotions.

Thanks,

Dan

The pricing I saw was 85 for the first - 55 for the second - and 30 for each additional until the 9th when it becomes 40

So basically you get 30 off for a free line I think, no more bundle discount as you go up

I'm on essentials plan but wondering if it's worth to switch to max for this promo? Anyone try to get the promo with non-max plan? Smilie

Yes to intl texts, but never intl calls (unless wifi calling). I've been with TMobile since the beginning.

Does anyone know:
  1. When will this promo end?
  2. Does it work if I am a new T-Mobile customer and sign up for Magenta Max 3 lines (2 paid + 1 free) today, wait for a day or two and add another line as a free line?
