FYI - They nerfed the program. You can no longer use the monthly reward on gift cards and if you want to use it online it has to be a non-sale priced physical item. Only get this if you actually go to a gamestop location regularly.

$5 monthly reward hasn't been working for a few months so don't be surprised if you don't get it. If you are willing to spend a long time with customer service, they will give you 5,000 points for each month you did t receive it.

That's strange. I still use both my accounts every month on two 10 dollar playstation network cards. I know they stopped it for about a month and then they started allowing it again. I've had no problem doing this for months now.

This has been true since Feb 2, 2023, if I'm not mistaken. Doesn't look like they're going to revert back this time.

Maybe it's a local store thing. I don't think the systems block the store from redeeming it for a playstation card. I redeemed it this way on both my accounts just this march 1st. It won't let me redeem online for the cards anymore. But no issues doing this in store so far.

if youre not getting the 5$ coupon to work on a 5$ play card like Nintendo or Xbox then try using it to buy a $10 card

Anything less than $10 doesn't work for the receipt codes anymore, I tested this in store with the staff. $10 receipt codes work just fine though. Still a great deal and moneymaker.

Codes don't work on Gift Card online. Tried in Feb 2023. In store didn't try as GC I wanted was not available. You can double dip on the code. Note the code from online account (it will disappear from account once used). First use it in-store and later use it online for store pickup order.

I normally buy 10 xbox gift card and use the 5 towards it. Hasn't worked online since January. Had to go in store to use it towards gift card. Very tedious, but first world problems and all that.

Have been using this for $5 Nintendo eshop cards even last month. Used it towards MAR10 day physical games for pickup in store and worked too. $35 for Mario games

Well guess between Bestbuy doing away with their 20% off program and this, I won't be spending money on memberships at least.
