I've used it for the last 18 months in all of our computers (7) and I've never had that issue I don't even know it's working.

Used this once. Was a resource hog. A lot of false positives.

Thanks! Extended my existing subscription for another two years (Promo code is a limit 2). I've had no issues with the software, no resource issues, and it catches a lot of stuff extremely quickly - almost too aggressive at times. Better safe than sorry in today's day and age.

Meh. 2-year deals for 15 devices for around $30-35 pop up from time to time on Newegg.

Even at $60 regular price, it's arguably better than this for folks with more than 5 devices:

Most recent deal: https://slickdeals.net/f/16447882-bitdefender-family-pack-2023-15-devices-2-years-32-99-and-other-antivirus-security-software-on-sale

I ran BD for several years when the deals were free or nearly free, but after upgrading to WIN 10 on all my stuff, I found that Malwarebytes (which I have a lifetime sub of thank you SD's!!) and Windows built-in Anti-Virus is more than sufficient. Really, there is no need to pay for this. Save your money or put it towards extra SSD or cloud storage so you can be completely safe and backup all your stuff securely.

the subscription type has to match, otherwise it will ask you whether you would want to start a new subscription. i had a 5 pc total security and when i tried to add this, it asked to add a new type and i couldn't select to extend the 5-pc one.

How many MB of RAM is Bitdefender running on your computer? When I used to use Bitdefender, it averaged between 500 - 700MB of RAM. That's crazy to me and I consider a resource hog. ESET uses 90 - 100MB max for me.

I've been using one version of Norton or another for over a decade and while it's kept my machines free from infection, it's gotten really in-your-face the last few years. Constant pop-ups, and selecting "don't show me again" seems to have no effect. I've finally had enough.

PCMag ranks Bit Defender at the top of their list. Thanks OP.

Does anyone know where I can get a discount code for Bitdefender Netgear's Armor Security. Damn thing costs $100 a year to use on my Netgear Orbi setup. Thanks and sorry to hijack this thread.

If you have 6 months left on your current subscription it will give you 1 year total so you lose the current 6 months, it's best to wait.
