We should turn our ire toward the companies that set up systems that incentivize digital purchases without any sort of guarantee that you can still play what you bought if your hardware gets stolen, your account gets compromised, your system clock battery runs out, the publisher's servers go down, etc.
Cars get stolen all the time.. so should we all keep our cars parked in our locked garages? The switch is a portable game system, so is 3ds, so is a Vita, so is a Steam Deck. Should we just confine ourselves in our home when we play these portable systems?

I mean, it sucks to be stolen from. Been through it. But if you don't follow that unwritten rule that -everyone- tells you...and you get burned by it....whose fault is it? If you don't like fire, don't join the fire brigade? If you don't like water, go out on a boat?
At some point, personal accountability comes into play, even when others are at fault by doing something wrong and hurtful. They do those things -because- folks aren't protecting themselves. Purely opportunistic.

Got him a new 2DS XL and he's content with it but by no means is it the same thing. Lesson learned of not risking losing anything you might lose.

Congratulations on derailing a deal thread with the most obnoxious inane blather I've read in at least a month.

If you don't want to get wet, don't go out in the rain....or at least use an umbrella...
