"protects for up to 15 years or 5000 miles" according to Pennzoil's advertising. But the stored product only lasts 5 years. Opposite of most foods 🙂

Is buying these online instead of in store make the rebate a bit tricky? I remember something about that from last year's rebate.
NOTE: Purchases made on retailer's website require receipt with order confirmation/order number and shipping confirmation or final delivery/pick-up receipt
ExxonMobil recommends a five-year maximum shelf life for engine oils, including synthetic motor oil.

So if it I take a snapshot of the Walmart app showing it as delivered then that would be sufficient for the rebate requirement?

I saw that. It tells me that if stored properly it will absolutely last longer than 5 years. The tire industry says my tires are no good after 6 years. My 20 pound BBQ bottle "expires" in 12 years, but can be recertified. I can't imagine how we survived all these years without the new info.

In optimal conditions & proper storage tires/food/etc should last longer than being exposed to UV rays which "destroy" everything
