Tip: I have an Iphone, buy my default browser is BRAVE and not Safari. Therefore, when I click the redeem button it opens in Brave with the code visible instead of auto-opening the app store

I clicked "Watch Now" and it sent me to MLB website where I was already logged in to a regular free account. It instantly said under "Manage Subscriptions" ... There also is an issue when using a phone with the MLB app installed. It may need to be uninstalled from the phone in order to end up with "the URL string directly from offer". Once URL string is in hand you can trade/acquire it. ​
True.. I burned few codes a year or so ago with redeeming to the same mobile browser where the mlb account was already logged in and had the code applied.

Now I just do the redeem the code to an incognito mode browser. The phone does not have the MLB app and it has worked (no burn codes)!
