it was always 10%, not 15%, the last time15% offered was 4 months ago in this SD

I think their customer service is the best among all of the cards I have (Chase, Citi, Amex, Capital One, PF-CP, PayPal/Synchrony). Not really that close, either.

As far as perks go, I have the Discover It with 5% CB quarterly and decent redemption options, like in this deal. Frankly it's my favorite card. I use a different card for higher non-quarterly bonus categories (1% vs 1.5%).

Great point! It's also my experience that the refund goes on a "merchandise credit" card, which can only be used in-store. Plus, it may be tied specifically to you because they always ask for my ID when I use one, but not when I'm using regular gift cards.

Buyer beware. I've bought thousands of dollars of Lowes GC from these types of deals/points redemptions. My account was recently hacked with someone making fraudulent purchases using saved gift cards in my account. I was able to cancel the orders to have Lowes send me new gift cards, but one was DOA. I've spent dozens of hours on the phone with Lowes CS and they've been very unhelpful. A few tips if you decide to buy these.
  1. Keep the receipts. They will likely require these if your GC are ever lost/stolen.
  2. If you save the GC in your Lowes account, make sure 2FA is enabled. This makes it harder for someone to access/hack your account.
  3. If you do need to contact Lowes CS, good luck. They are the middleman between a back office gift card team that likes to reject all requests on sight. It's best to avoid ever having to call them at all.

Great point, also they tied to your DL, in my case the lady during return typed in the wrong ID number and it wasn't until i had to get multiple managers to realize the ID number was wrong. Lowes itself is not a great place, no customer service, you are on your own and if you have any issues good luck!

To be clear this is a Lowes issue and not Discover's.

This is the main reason I don't cash them out for just any old reason. Although not this past Christmas, they had a string of years where they'd sell a Happy GC for around 20% off IIRC which you could then use to buy 3rd party GC @ Lowes. Before then, maybe 7 or 8 years ago, they had half off Shell GC that I cashed in all I had and made like $2000 by reselling them.

There's no telling if those offers will ever come back though.

I usually get a card with in-store credit when I return items purchased with a GC. These cards CANNOT be used online.

So for this to work and to get the discounted Lowe's GC, one needs the Discover Cashback points.

Is there anyway to get the GC from Discover without using the Cashback points?
