Would have definitely bit on this if I didn't have the homedepot one already!

Edit: and if it matters, the packaging says 330 lumens instead of the 340 that its always advertised at.

So after shipping its $18 for a refurbished. Whereas at HD, its $20 new. I think I would be more comfortable spending the extra $2. If a Direct Tools brick and mortar was close to me, I would think differently.

This is Factory Blemished, not refurbed. This should qualify for LSA.

And you can use this to piggy back on the shipping if there was something else you were eyeing 😅

Just FYI, factory blemished (like this deal) is brand new, just like what you get at Home Depot.

You recommend the light? I've got several Ridgid tools, been eyeing this for the past couple years...

I do recommend it at this new price point. Sometimes the panel light or the light cannon is just too bright for the task. They have the R8695KN which is 400 lumens, but I'm not sure when they'll have it as tool only or how much it will cost then.

Snow is correct. DTO is not allowed by contract with Home Depot to sell new, so they are marked blemished.

But everyone I have received is brand new.

This is not a refurb which I tend to avoid from DTO but some I have ordered are like new, just have "refurb" burned into them.

Condition aside last time my order took 3 weeks to ship. Just for that get it from HD unless you are picking up something else from DTO.

Also if for whatever reason you're returning it and you're not getting a refund on shipping charge.

I think the braun light from HF is like 20 something and it's far more better beam and have magnetic base. Anybody have an upgrade to it (?)

Good deal, thank you! Hadn't seen the R8695 before, but it looks pretty good. Wish it was tool only, seeing it in the kit for like $85 which i wouldn't dream of paying.

What do I do with Braun light if it dies after 90 days or if the batteries go bad after some time?

The battery is replaceable. I think it's 18650 but you can just replace it

It's a no brainer at this price especially if you already in the system. I paid $20 from HD and went for another one on this deal but I was also able to pick up the Ryobi 6" Auger kit to average out the shipping cost.
