It's a no brainer at this price especially if you already in the system. I paid $20 from HD and went for another one on this deal but I was also able to pick up the Ryobi 6" Auger kit to average out the shipping cost.
Funny timing, I just walked out of HD with this light about 30 mins ago. I found a HD gift card with some $ on it and figured it was a sign 😀 just opened it up, really liking it.

This light is good and worth the money. I would not tell you it is great with the standard bulb. After having the light for nearly a decade I decided to upgrade the bulb to an LED. Much like upgrading a standard car headlight bulb, the upgrade is significant and, like upgrading your car's headlight's, will easily blind people looking at you.

The upgraded bulbs cost less than $10 but I realize that's nearly as much as the flashlight itself. Just info for those who decide at some point they want their flashlight brighter.

You recommend the light? I've got several Ridgid tools, been eyeing this for the past couple years...
I use this light every day. It is plenty bright and the head swivels while allows you to point it perfectly where you want it. It sips battery life and casts a good flood for loading kayaks at night or working under the sink. Pointed to the ceiling lights up and entire room.

This has an LED bulb already, maybe a newer version of yours.

So after shipping its $18 for a refurbished. Whereas at HD, its $20 new. I think I would be more comfortable spending the extra $2. If a Direct Tools brick and mortar was close to me, I would think differently.
It's "factory blemished." It's identical to the one you get at Home Depot. Home Depot has an exclusivity contract with Ridgid tools, so Home Depot is the only store allowed to sell these as "New." Direct Tools gets around this by labeling them as "factory blemished," even though there's nothing wrong with them. They still qualify for the LSA. Direct Tools just sells the extra stock that Home Depot doesn't buy up.

I bought this light last week at HD for $19.98. I have other Ridgid tools and batteries. I never knew how useful this light was. Been very happy.

Sold out at Home Depot! At least for delivery, there might be some stores with stock in-store, unfortunately none near me, good luck!

340 lumen is like a nightlight right? Why is everyone gushing over this? My kitchen light is 1600 lumens and I feel I can use a brighter light. Maybe 2,000 lumens or better I might be interested.

This is enough for me for a lot of tasks where it is dimly lit or pitch black e.g., under the sink, working on car, looking in closet, blackouts. Being able to stand it up and the 180deg of articulation is also great. Good size and long-lasting because of the low lumens if you're already in the Ridgid ecosystem. 100 lumens looks like the highend for night lights.

^^ Exactly this ^^

This is the Ridgid tool that I use the most (pretty much every day, actually). I have the "original" one that is maybe a little too dim. I picked up this newer one from the HD deal and am plenty pleased with the brightness.

It's such a focused spot that anything more than 340 would be too bright for a task, in my opinion. It's not diffused light like your kitchen light

Bought one at hd for $20 and returned it. 340 likens is too dim, and the light feels cheaply made

Direct Tools Outlet is a scam.

I placed an order on 2/2/23 and it still has not shipped. Their customer service has repeatedly given me the runaround. This appears to be common. Complaints on their BBB page indicate that getting a refund can be a problem.
