The one with the most replay value is Revelations 1 in Raid Mode. I've spent hundreds of hours in it.
Revelations 2's Raid Mode is ridiculously easy, so much so that I'd say it's not even worth it. The campaign mode story is pretty good.
Stay away from 6. I've tried four times over the years to get into it. The last time was with a friend so we could laugh at it, but it was just sad and unfun in any way.
Life is far too short to waste time on playing Resident Evil 6.

Easily in my top 3 games of all time and the only one I've played more than twice.
At any rate, people generally felt RE4 struck a good balance between action and pacing your shots, but it was never intended to be an arena shooter like Doom or Quake (which were well within gaming capabilities at the time of release). It's been awhile since I played, but I thought there WAS a quick backward hop (and 180° spin) move.
