You can not have more than 1 Sapphire card at the same time, and you can not get a new Sapphire signup bonus if you received one on any Sapphire card in the last 48 months.
For anyone debating on whether to go for this, know that the all time high is 100k bonus points, making this a very lucrative opportunity.
You can- I've seen YMMV reports about how many days you need to wait between cancelling and new application though.

Also things to keep in mind:

Use any credits you might have on existing card you haven't used yet.
Insure you move your UR points to a different card before closing old one.

I just applied the card in branch yesterday. Will any chase branch honor this new promo?

From my experience no. Same thing happened to me when I initially applied. But you can definitely try.

My wife applied for their card 4 months back but she forgot to spend 4K , so she never received the sign up bonus. She downgraded the card 2 weeks back to a freedom card. Can she apply for this card and get the bonus after spending 4K in 3 months?

"4-8 cents a point on the high end (transfers to airlines for flight bookings)"......I've never transferred points to airlines, and now suspect that I have been spending my points in a very wasteful way. Is this option available for most airlines? or just a specific one? and how do I do it?

Each of the major credit card programs (Amex, Chase, Citi, Cap 1, etc) have their own list of transfer partners.... Chase has 14 airlines (and you can book many other airlines via partner awards... for example using say Air Canada/Aeroplan or United points-both Chase transfer partners, to book other star alliance airline seats).

Chase also has several hotel transfer partners but 99.99% of the time the only one worth considering is Hyatt, where you can usually get ~2 cents a point plus or minus a bit.

To actually transfer you go to the ultimate rewards website- here's a walkthrough with screen shots:
https://www.nerdwallet.com/articl...l-partners

NOTE: the transfers are one-way... so be sure you know what you're booking and how many points you need and that the award ticket(s) is actually available before doing the transfer.

If you're just getting started with this usually you'll want to just google "Best way to fly to X with points" or "best use of chase points for X" or something like that- with X being wherever you want to go....you'll find a bunch of travel site articles from folks like upgraded points, frequent miler, the points guy, etc... read through several and that'll give you a decent idea what's possible.

Note that you'll have a better time if you're a bit flexible on dates and routing... (for example that huge value ANA booking I just did is leaving on a Wednesday and coming back on a Monday... but I've got plenty of flexibility to make that work... if you HAVE to fly on VERY specific dates it can be more challenging if you're trying to get a great award ticket on a super popular route.

Thanks and repped. Does this include business cards as well? I thought business cards were excluded from the count.

Biz cards don't count against your 5/24 total... they do for 2/30 last I knew

Expect not if they flag you as having a sapphire reward in last 4 years, that's called out in their terms.

I wish this card included precheck/global entry. I'm due this year, so need a new card. Don't really want to spring for CSR to get, but would like to stay with the UR points, rather than start up with CapOne Ventures

The reserve does but comes with high fee ($550)

yeah. i know. not really thinking about going with a high annual fee. not sure I can use all the perks for this year, plus it doesn't have this 90K bonus offer afaik.

If you're looking for travel perks and want great sign-up bonus, have you taken a look at the current referral offer for Amex Platinum? It's 150K + $200 statement credit. That's the highest I've ever seen. Note: I don't have that referral offer, but others might.

high fee, but you get $300 credit on any travel, plus $180/yr in monthly instacart credits and a free instacart+ membership ($99 normally) and (effectively) $20/yr in Global Entry credits.

Plus a priority pass membership that includes airport restaurants, and a higher point value on travel spend (also higher point value in the portal but that's often not the best way to spend points anyway).

So other than the signup bonus being lower it's a net more profitable card above its annual fee than CSP is assuming you can get value from the IC credits...

But a question for anyone familiar with this: can you stack a referral bonus on top of this bonus?

Typically not, I tried on a recent 80,000 point bonus

I already have existing preferred card. Next month is going to be my one year with preferred. Should I cancel my current card and apply for this again? Or how can I get this offer without having to cancel?
