You can not have more than 1 Sapphire card at the same time, and you can not get a new Sapphire signup bonus if you received one on any Sapphire card in the last 48 months.
For anyone debating on whether to go for this, know that the all time high is 100k bonus points, making this a very lucrative opportunity.
You can- I've seen YMMV reports about how many days you need to wait between cancelling and new application though.
Also things to keep in mind:
Use any credits you might have on existing card you haven't used yet.
Insure you move your UR points to a different card before closing old one.

I can also confirm that this deal is still going. Got the card/deal today. Appointment took 30 minutes and was painless. They didn't try to upsell me on anything else, either.
The rep mentioned that this deal was supposedly 120,000 points at some point in the past year or so. He said it was a very short promo, though, and didn't expect it to return to that level given the current economic trends.
If I close the card then Id lose the age of credit so it's better for me to product change. Since chase has 3 different Freedom cards, I just switched to the 3rd one and will apply in the Branch in 3 days. Glad you know where I'm from
I am finally out of the bonus window restriction and can reapply for this card. I remember seeing 100k last year. Should I be holding out for that? Would hate to waste it on a lower number.
how soon do you get the credit card number you can use for online purchase?
I applied for it on May 1st. The bank lady said the card will arrive in 8 days. The she asked if I would like to expedite the delivery. I said yes. Then she said it will arrive in 2 days. Received the card in 2 days - on May 3rd. Started using it on the same day. It was quick. They used UPS Express Next Day Delivery.
Does anyone know if this card will provide 5X points if we buy air tickets with Singapore Air, Qatar Airways, Emirates etc? If yes how to get it? I was thinking just by entering the credit payment info on corresponding website won't help. It says to use Ultimate Rewards program for 5X points on travel - not sure how to use it. Any inputs will be helpful. Thanks.

You have to use Chase Portal to book the tickets to get 5X points not through the airlines directly. The only card that gives you 5X points directly through website is Amex Platinum

Applied today in branch and can confirm offer is still valid for 90k
Is the only difference between applying in-person and online, 10k? I just checked the link and it's 80k right now, not sure if that changed from when the thread began.
Edit - Looked at another thread, that seems to be the case. Another question, if you apply in-person, you can still use a referral, right? What information is needed from the referrer? Just their name?

the link is only for reference (as mentioned) if you go to the branch and open account... they will show you the 90k points ad if spending is met.
referral is only online not in branch as i know. so suggest you open in person account and refer to someone online, they will get SUB as you will for refer bonus.
enjoy
