    if you watch movies using iTunes/AppleTV, you don't need to get the Extended Edition (Director's Cut) of this movie. It appears in iTunes Extra if you already have the standard edition.

    This was probably about as bad as that All Quiet On the Western Front remake on Netflix. Totally misses what made the book great. I went in expecting to read a basic book about the incident in Mogadishu I saw on TV when I was a kid. What a read was...horrifying. Scarred me for life. Had that been made into a movie, it would have been great, but too much for the average American audience. What made it onscreen was lowest-common denominator trash, basically "Whack-A-Third Worlder" for two hours. Nothing about Delta Force and how they followed their own rules, nothing about the Rangers and their lack of combat knowledge that Delta had, nothing about actual Somalians during the battle, nothing about how involved women and children were and the tough choices soldiers had to make. They're still afraid to put this into movies.

    And they probably never will because it won't make money at the box office. It's a shame.
