However, I am seeing that the Xfi Complete addon is available for $10/month extra bringing the total costs up to $35/month. For $35/month this plan still seems worth it with unlimited data and higher upload speeds (for select regions [reddit.com])***.
If anyone is going with this plan, I do recommend getting this "Xfi Complete" as it unlocks unlimited data caps (as opposed to 1.2TB without it), and it also unlocks upload speeds which for me tested out to be around 115Mbps, as opposed to something much less like 10Mbps without. For me, this add-on is essentially a required item.
For anyone's existing network setup, I actually didn't have to configure and/or make much changes to my network settings either. With Xfinity's gateway, I just logged in and switched to Bridge mode, which essentially made it a modem-only and then connected my router via ethernet wired, and everything worked as per my previous configuration I had with my previous internet service provider.

You need to connect your router's (yellow Internet port) to the modem (LAN port) using an Ethernet cable and you're in business
I just logged in to my Xfinity account and upgraded the existing 75Mbps $45/month plan to the 200Mbps $20/month plan!
It took me four tries to succeed - the first three tries ended up with error message at the final step of checkout.
When I logged in to my account, it asked me to select one of the two accounts.
It seems the above process created a NEW Xfinity account for me under the same user id and password.
Questions:
Do I need to contact the customer to link my Xfinity mobile lines (which was linked to my old account) to the NEW account (though they are under the same user name)? I worried about the $250/month extra charge for Xfinity Mobile if they failed to identify I have Xfinity Internet.
I called customer service who have no clues.
I received the following emails after upgrading my existing plan in order:
1) Your Xfinity ID is now linked to another Xfinity Account
2) We received your cancellation request
3) Thanks for choosing Xfinity.
4) Thanks, here is your Xfinity order confirmation

1. This is their teaser rate they've been sending out for years. The purpose is to rope you in to their horrible experience.
2. Already you're seeing games about having to sign in as your spouse to get the decent rate back and the bottom line is it ain't that decent. Even then.
2. Not having unlimited home wired cable is a big deal because they throttle like crazy. And it usually happens when you need it the most and you get auto tagged for either too much time or too much bandwidth. I would never think about not using a VPN with ISP's nowadays. You can try the free proton VPN if you don't have one.
3. Think you can call for customer service and it'll go smoothly? Wrong. Is the kind of company that sign up is the only thing that goes smoothly. They will waste your time on purpose. I have personally experienced their reps don't care their managers don't care their company doesn't care. And they have been rated as the worst business ever. I did not say the worst ISP. The worst business of all businesses I'm not kidding.
4. They will trick you into passing by trial date but promising to give you the super fast speed at the low cost. Only to find it's not so on the next bill and then it's too late. If you quit them they will trump up charges and in order to ruin your credit.
5. They in fact lied through their teeth to me and then lied about what I owed them. Pay attention because that is their character. If they paid you $100 a month to take this service it's not worth it.
6. I grilled through many failed attempts to set the system up and get it installed properly several times thinking that it would all be worth it once it gets settled only to be rewarded in that way. The point is they totally botched the install and the promise service. I did not get the speed promised I did not get the clear billing. I only ever got overcharged. I never got any satisfaction after hours and hours of waiting and explaining over and over the same problem to rep after rep. After the rep lied to me that they were going to give me the super fast speed at the starter price Then I quit them.
7. This was inappropriately on my credit report for 7 years. But I will never, ever be there customer again.
8. My young neighbors also talk about how they had to cut it off, only to get a halfway decent deal they think and basically they are just fleecing each neighbor for the most they can get out of them. They are proud they played hardball, they think with Xfinity. And they're still overpaying.
9. They are the monopoly cable in the neighborhood because a lot of people don't know they also bought out the AT&T that would provide cable. Not AT&T fiber which is not here. They will gladly sell you the same thing through that division of AT&T that also Xfinity owns. How this gets by lack of free enterprise and antitrust laws I don't know. Probably because you didn't know that. Look it up; it happened a few years ago.
10. I am not affiliated with T-Mobile. They may be the lesser of evils at this time. But we are able to use internet resources, so look up your location to discover if you have a good 5G cell site that carries T-Mobile at your home. They have a competitive deal for fast not portable home internet. Xfinity has had to change some of their BS due to T-Mobile competition and laws passed to help stop Xfinity. I'm not saying there can't be any price fixing between T-Mobile and Xfinity going on but T-Mobile does seem to have the less bad deal. Technically Hardline cable should be more capable than T-Mobile 5G wireless. But if and only if you have a 5G T-Mobile Tower and you put their included device near your window then you would not notice any speed difference. But you would notice a huge difference between this the company service and Xfinity.
I'm saying Xfinity is the devil reincarnate. Just to be clear.
I noticed on social media there are others at my location that fill the same way and will never ever use Xfinity again. And they are quite happy with T-Mobile 5G as we have an excellent tower here.
Sprint was bad but T-Mobile added their towers to their others and their 5G systems utilize new technology to get both distance and speed better. 5G uses multiple bands at the same time to do its magic and free trial would solve all mysteries.
Like your xfinity account is under your name, and you have a current modem.
What is the procedure step-by-step? Thanks!!!
200/10 plan $25/mo
400/10 plan $35/mo
200/100 plan $45/mo. This was $25 (Internet Connect More) plus $20 for xFi Complete (Upload speeds as fast as 100 Mbps), Also, xFi Complete promotion is only 12 months, not 24 months.
I don't care if I'm getting the 400Mbps or not cuz it's just me (with multiple devices).
