However, I am seeing that the Xfi Complete addon is available for $10/month extra bringing the total costs up to $35/month. For $35/month this plan still seems worth it with unlimited data and higher upload speeds (for select regions [reddit.com])***.
If anyone is going with this plan, I do recommend getting this "Xfi Complete" as it unlocks unlimited data caps (as opposed to 1.2TB without it), and it also unlocks upload speeds which for me tested out to be around 115Mbps, as opposed to something much less like 10Mbps without. For me, this add-on is essentially a required item.
For anyone's existing network setup, I actually didn't have to configure and/or make much changes to my network settings either. With Xfinity's gateway, I just logged in and switched to Bridge mode, which essentially made it a modem-only and then connected my router via ethernet wired, and everything worked as per my previous configuration I had with my previous internet service provider.

That sucks. I would really like a faster upload speed, but they're killin me here...
Asked rep to cancel account and give me the deal, was told yes.
Was on the phone for over half an hour as she took care of almost everything.
They really wanted me to be home during the process, to give my mac address/cycle my modem, but I was at work. Service is due to terminate tonight according to the email I received (despite being told by CSR that it would terminate immediately), so I'll power cycle the modem when I wake up tomorrow.
Data cap here in Chicago, 1.2TB/mo. No contract, 24 months at $25. Was on a $50/mo deal ($32 discount). Saving $600 for the next 2 years. ATT Fiber was just installed in my neighborhood, but the price/speeds are still higher than Comcast.
I guess it worked, although I have to check on it to make sure the old one actually cancels in however many days.
They said they do indeed service the home I currently live in.
So based on that and other factors, we put the contract in for the home, spruced up the place a bit and when we were ready and excited to get our xfinity service, I called to have them come set it up and they say… "sorry, we don't service that address"… 🤨
These people are fraudulent as hell.
Thank God for Starlink. Xfinity is trash. But so is everything else. Gotta pick your favorite flavor of trash.

I signed up for a 400mbps offer in December for $30 a month. Just cancelled and went with this offer because I would rather unlimited internet for $35 a month. The lower speed of 200mbps is fast enough for our household.
I'm sure within the next 24 months there will be another great offer and your 24 months price lock starts again.
Funnily enough the Fios tech wanted to cut my Comcast line so he wouldn't have to drill a new hole. I told him absolutely not, as there's a decent chance I'll go back to Comcast if Verizon tries to weasel their way out of the price lock. He ended up cutting the existing Verizon coax line we had for telephone (which we cancelled in 2019… I doubt we'll ever get it again) as he claimed that if we got phone service with them again they'd route it through the ONT.
You can call Xfinity once the new service is showing in your account and ask them to cancel your existing service.
You'll might need to reboot your modem and activate it on the Xfinity app once your existing service is terminated.
I don't think you can link the account since it's different names. You probably have to do a transfer. There's stuff involved like DPP credit, # line eligibility, etc along with a list of restrictions in just transferring a line...so it's not just a copy&paste type thing.
Your spouse will have to call XM (maybe chat) and then the rep will probably call you for the PIN and authorization to move the lines....according to their FAQ. Everything has to be 1:1 between the accounts.
There have been people who have tried and ended up losing a phone number when the rep accidentally cancelled the line instead of transferring. But that could be because XM was relatively new back then....and/or because it's a rare request/action.
