However, I am seeing that the Xfi Complete addon is available for $10/month extra bringing the total costs up to $35/month. For $35/month this plan still seems worth it with unlimited data and higher upload speeds (for select regions [reddit.com])***.
If anyone is going with this plan, I do recommend getting this "Xfi Complete" as it unlocks unlimited data caps (as opposed to 1.2TB without it), and it also unlocks upload speeds which for me tested out to be around 115Mbps, as opposed to something much less like 10Mbps without. For me, this add-on is essentially a required item.
For anyone's existing network setup, I actually didn't have to configure and/or make much changes to my network settings either. With Xfinity's gateway, I just logged in and switched to Bridge mode, which essentially made it a modem-only and then connected my router via ethernet wired, and everything worked as per my previous configuration I had with my previous internet service provider.

1) Signed up for service on March 14th in my wife's name (created new account in her name and said I'm moving to this address)
2) Received email for cancellation of existing service - they didn't turn off service though, they just extended the cancellation date to March 29
3) Received box on March 15th. Disconnected existing box. Installed new box using Xfinity app. Set up bridge mode since I wanted to keep my setup (https://www.xfinity.com/support/a...ridge-mode). It took a while and I had to cycle the box a few times but bridge mode finally worked.
4) Waited until today to call (March 17) and cancel service. When they send you the cancellation email, they also call you and leave a call back number. I just called that number and told them I need to cancel since the service is transferred to the new account holder. Old account was cancelled.
That's it. I only had internet service with Comcast. I hope this helps someone!
I hate that I received a modem that was released over 6 years ago and feel like I should be able to get something more modern, but it is what it is. I'm getting the $30 ACP credit so I think I'll be paying about $5 total per month for decent internet service. A solid victory overall. As long as I do get the advertised speeds when I test it out later or tomorrow...
Getting 237Mbps down, 88Mbps up.
Unlimited plan for $35.5/mo no contract. I'm set for 24 months 😎

Lots of bait and switch. XB3 humongous modem, instead of sleek Xb6 or Xb7.
10mb upload instead of 100mb upload.
I recommend that unless you need unlimited data, just get the $25 plan. Use your own modem.
