You're right. The standard plan doesn't include unlimited data. Most states have a 1.2TB/month soft data cap -- some North Eastern states are exempt from that data cap I believe. From what I understand, users who go over the data transferred per month are given one warning if they go over it the first time. The next months if they do go over the limit, they'll get charged something like $10 overage fee per 50GB, maximum of $100 overcharge fee. See: https://www.xfinity.com/support/a...ceed-usage

However, I am seeing that the Xfi Complete addon is available for $10/month extra bringing the total costs up to $35/month. For $35/month this plan still seems worth it with unlimited data and higher upload speeds (for select regions [reddit.com])***.

If anyone is going with this plan, I do recommend getting this "Xfi Complete" as it unlocks unlimited data caps (as opposed to 1.2TB without it), and it also unlocks upload speeds which for me tested out to be around 115Mbps, as opposed to something much less like 10Mbps without. For me, this add-on is essentially a required item.

For anyone's existing network setup, I actually didn't have to configure and/or make much changes to my network settings either. With Xfinity's gateway, I just logged in and switched to Bridge mode, which essentially made it a modem-only and then connected my router via ethernet wired, and everything worked as per my previous configuration I had with my previous internet service provider.

Not unless you use a VPN.

10mb upload instead of 100mb upload.
The faster upload speed was never explicitly advertised. People are being misled by a post on the first page of this thread that makes it sound like the faster upload is guaranteed.

Yes sign up under someone else's name. They'll activate it and cancel the old service. Very very easy.

When you search your address on Xfinity it will say there's already service at this address. Click I'm moving here as a new customer.
Actually you don't even need to use someone else's name. I just signed up under my name again with a new email address and that worked. I had service active under both accounts active and then called to disconnect the old one.

I am still under contract until July. I called and cancelled my contract and will pay $50 ETF. The guy said the internet will be cut off at midnight. I got the email about my cancellation. Then I setup a new acct under my wife's name with new email address & new phone #. And I am still not getting a confirmation email for the deal. I can log in Xfinity acct using my NEW email & pw but it didn't take me anywhere. I called tech support but no help. She can't find anything under my new phone # I used to sign up a new account. Customer service service is closed until tomorrow. Did this happen to anyone?

no but the online chat is always available if you want to try that. also if you have any ad blockers on your browser, turn them off. those have prevented some critical xfinity pages from loading for me

Have you checked what version Ethernet cable you have? If it's cat5, that could be the culprit.

What equipment and where are you located?
Seattle downtown. I got XB-7 I believe. It is white, has one power port, 1 coaxial port and 4 ethernet on the back. Broadcasts 5G and 2.4G on singular wifi name. Don't see any way to split it into two wifi.

But at least I am getting 85-89Mbps upload consistently. I was worried they'd bag me with 10Mbps. But I was already paying 34$ to WaveG for 100Mbps symmetrical unlimited so paying $1 extra was no brainer. Plus I can have this for next 2 years. WaveG would have increased their price in 2 months to $60 fuk that

PSA: when I signed up on the check out page it showed 200Mbps down and 10Mbps up even with Xfi complete $10 addon. However I am getting 240Mbps down and 85Mbps up.

And in the Xfinity app the speedtest section displays that my plan is 200Mbps down 100Mbps up. But during signup process it never mentioned 100Mbps upload. Hope this helps.

My Xfinity internet service was 400mpbs at $39.99 for 12month. I was at the last month of the promised rate, and the monthly bill was going to change to $99.99. I was looking for the way to reduce the future payment.

Thanks to the Slickdeals comments, I could set up the current 200mpbs at $25 for 24months, without term contract.
<btw, I could actually choose to renew the contract by having 12month term, 400mbps at $30/mo for 24 months as existing customer.>
I choose the get the current deal because I want to be ready to get any better deal at any time. (I am also a non-resident of USA but temporal with J visa; I don't know when I will leave!)

Here is what I did;
1) visit xfinity website using incognito mode (chrome), and find the prices by using the current address. (I chose as I am a new customer moving to this address)
2) choose 200mpbs deal and customize (flex device, xFi etc; my place said xFi complete for 20/mo so I just skipped it)
3) use the same name, phone, email. The system will say they found a matching account. I chose to link. They asked my BOD to verify the ID. Then I chose one of the registered payment option.
4) the order was placed, and I received several emails from Xfinity;
- Your Xfinity accounts are now linked (I see new account number after login with my comcast id)
- We received your cancellation request (service disconnected: internet and TV, as I received a flex device for free - I will return it)
- Thanks for choosing Xfinity
- Thanks, here is your Xfinity order confirmation (200 mbps one)
5) I am waiting for the old service to be stopped, then I will chat on xfinity app to reset my modem/router. (I have my own one, as xfinity did not offer a free rental previously)
6) I will bring the Flex device to one of the Xfinity shop for return. I am going to take a video of it, just for the case that they say the device is not returned

btw I am not sure if slickdeal rebate can work in incognito mode lol

I thought WaveG 100Mbps was $25?

Xfinity also offers additional discount of $10 for any mobile service linked, plus another $10 if chose unlimited mobile data plan.
This sounds good for me, but they say my mobile phone (bought from oversea) is not compatible with their service. I am switching US mobile and Mint time to time.
I may switch to Xfinity mobile if they offer a competitive phone deal. Currently there is $500/24month credit promo for S23 ultra, which is okay but I don't like the 24 month credit part. My old S20+5G works fine but it doesn't get 5G signal in USA. =/

On paper it is $25 but they charge a lot of balony fees and it is 33.x everything included. I think I am getting $5 off for autopay so still $28.x which btw after my yearly offer ends will become 60/mo. This deal by xfinity is a savior
