My wife and I take turns putting the account in our names every 2 years. We just alternate.

You're right. The standard plan doesn't include unlimited data. Most states have a 1.2TB/month soft data cap -- some North Eastern states are exempt from that data cap I believe. From what I understand, users who go over the data transferred per month are given one warning if they go over it the first time. The next months if they do go over the limit, they'll get charged something like $10 overage fee per 50GB, maximum of $100 overcharge fee. See: https://www.xfinity.com/support/a...ceed-usage

However, I am seeing that the Xfi Complete addon is available for $10/month extra bringing the total costs up to $35/month. For $35/month this plan still seems worth it with unlimited data and higher upload speeds (for select regions [reddit.com])***.

If anyone is going with this plan, I do recommend getting this "Xfi Complete" as it unlocks unlimited data caps (as opposed to 1.2TB without it), and it also unlocks upload speeds which for me tested out to be around 115Mbps, as opposed to something much less like 10Mbps without. For me, this add-on is essentially a required item.

For anyone's existing network setup, I actually didn't have to configure and/or make much changes to my network settings either. With Xfinity's gateway, I just logged in and switched to Bridge mode, which essentially made it a modem-only and then connected my router via ethernet wired, and everything worked as per my previous configuration I had with my previous internet service provider.

Is anyone else seeing that thi splan is a 2 year agreement ??? Thought it was 2yrs but no contract. Check under myplan and let me know what you are seeing in yours.
Were you already under contract? It says your 24 month agreement was updated. If you go to the link in OP, it says no annual contract. If you accessed through the link, there shouldn't be a contract. You should contact them to get it cleared up. There's a 30 day window for cancellation, isn't there? If that's the case, you should be ok.

Tested the new XB3 modem, and no increased upload speeds, so again, bait and switch! Now spending more than an hour trying to get them to activate my old modem, and drop me down to the basic $25 month plan. Annoying!!!!!

It is not term contact but you and Xfinity agree to have the service at 35 bucks for 24 months.

Upload speed is 10 mbps for Xfinity internet service.
You can choose to pay additional for xFi complete, which allows x10 upload speed. xFi is not XB3, but the white one on their webpage shown with something 10G blabla

Stupid question: Is anybody paying for complete and then using your own modem? Are you totally free to port forward however you want in bridge mode? I can't stand the modem's administration and want rid of it, but if just switching to bridge mode accomplishes that, I'm fine with it.

Probably 24 month agreement means this
$35.00/mo for 24 months, then regular rates apply (currently $87.00 per month)

The 2-year Agreement is different than 2-year Contract. Mine shows 2-year agreement as well, and I reached out to CS, to clarify that and came to know that it is a pricing agreement for $35(with out autopay discount) for 2-year. So no worries if you see 2-year agreement.

I have my piece of trash Black Monster Arris XB3 working with my Orbi Mesh seems to be working ok but Xfinity is just straight lying and false advertising. Why do they show an XB8 with an offer for 200 service and then say that modem is only for 800+ speeds. They also show it with the pod when you make the selection for xfi complete but then they say you have to wait for a month while they analyze your devices. So you have to suffer through bad coverage for a month waiting for their decision? Total bait and switch and BS! Deserves a complaint to FTC.

PS I went to the store trying to get the advertised modem and the manager laughed and said I should contact marketing!
