You're right. The standard plan doesn't include unlimited data. Most states have a 1.2TB/month soft data cap -- some North Eastern states are exempt from that data cap I believe. From what I understand, users who go over the data transferred per month are given one warning if they go over it the first time. The next months if they do go over the limit, they'll get charged something like $10 overage fee per 50GB, maximum of $100 overcharge fee. See: https://www.xfinity.com/support/a...ceed-usage

However, I am seeing that the Xfi Complete addon is available for $10/month extra bringing the total costs up to $35/month. For $35/month this plan still seems worth it with unlimited data and higher upload speeds (for select regions [reddit.com])***.

If anyone is going with this plan, I do recommend getting this "Xfi Complete" as it unlocks unlimited data caps (as opposed to 1.2TB without it), and it also unlocks upload speeds which for me tested out to be around 115Mbps, as opposed to something much less like 10Mbps without. For me, this add-on is essentially a required item.

For anyone's existing network setup, I actually didn't have to configure and/or make much changes to my network settings either. With Xfinity's gateway, I just logged in and switched to Bridge mode, which essentially made it a modem-only and then connected my router via ethernet wired, and everything worked as per my previous configuration I had with my previous internet service provider.

Is unlimited data still active when using your own modem?
No. I ended up swapping from the $25 to the $35 with hardware because I burned through 1.2tb in my first month

And now appears to be $15 shipping fee (even for slow shipping) for the gear. I didn't remember that being there at the beginning of the promo.

I opted for store pick-up to not pay any shipping fees.

Does anyone know on in-store pick-up if you wait a few days and then activate does that start the billing period from that date or from the date you signed up for the service?
What is the purpose of a Flex streaming box? Assuming you already own a smart tv and/or Roku, CCwGTV or Firestick

I signed up for 200Mbps + xFi Complete service for $35 ($25 + $10) back in March. I activated the service with the provided XB3, then switched to my own SB8200 after a couple days. I was told that with own modem xFi Complete would be $30 add-on instead of $10. But it's been 2 billing cycles and my bill is still $35. I guess they don't really check what modem I use?
I would check the next couple of month just to be sure, perhaps the system hasn't caught up. In any case, did you return the modem to Comcast? It just a theory maybe as long as the their modem is on the account you get the "$10 unlimited internet addon" The xFi $10 monthly modem rental is fee is waived for 24 month anyways. I would return xFi modem before your anniversary date thou.

Ads/commercials showing $35 price now -- $25 deal is mostly dead (some people mentioned few areas might still have it)

Thanks. Does $35 have a cap? I believe it includes equipment. It was also showing xFi Complete as $25 more, not really even clear what that means

Probably there was gold inside your other xb3. So they wanted it back?

Have add the xFi complete rental which cost extra if live outside northeast states which have unlimited included.

Should have a cap unless you pay more for xFi Complete or live in an area without caps -- you can use your own equipment or get their free equip (modem/router combo)

xFi Complete should get you equipment + unlimited data + faster upload speeds if your area has upgraded network (if you see 2gbps plan offered at your address then you should be in an upgraded area)

For me in an upgraded area in March:
$25 plan was 200mb down and 5 or 10mb upload (people getting XB3 modem/router)
$10 xFi complete upgrade made it 200mb down + 100mb up + unlimited data (got better XB6 modem/router since upgraded area)

I put the XB6 in bridge mode just to use it as a modem and turned off public wifi network -- connected it to my own router and works fine

yup - it's still alive in Bay Area. Trying to wait out 1 more month since I can delay the start by a month.
