Maybe I'm in the minority but games don't need to be 30+ hour long slogs to be worth buying, this game is absolutely worth $50 even if it's "only" 12 hours.

agreed, the game is fantastic and the remake is beautiful... 12hrs is plenty for a single playthrough, new game plus is always lots of fun with Dead Space too.

these guys should certainly be rewarded for finally remaking this game.

The most fun I had with the first game was the second playthrough with just the plasma cutter. Still haven't played this yet, but I'll get to as soon as I beat Miles Morales and Uncharted 4. I'm actually clearing out my backlog. It's really happening
