It's been at this price for a few weeks. I received mine and installed. The knob side is installed using screws into the plate so it's best to have an angled set or a ratcheting set like this. https://www.harborfreight.com/8-p...gJ43vD_BwE
I bought this and ultimately returned it as you need to drill a small hole through the door to hold the lowest part of the handle. I didn't want to do that so back it went.
All of the styles like this will require that hole.

I have this and didn't want to make the hole. That piece is removable and the handle functions fine without it.
Installed one on an exterior door the last time these were on sale. Great quality for 20 bucks. Installed in about 10 minutes with a power drill (you will need drill bits as you'll need to make a hole through the door to attach the lower part of the handle).
Was trying to install that exact door handle last weekend at my friend's house. The house was built in 1926 and entry door thickness is 52mm, however this handle made for doors from 35 to 45 mm thick. I wasted time trying to get two parts connected together but only when read instruction I found out it just won't fit that thick door. Unfortunately I had to put it back in box.
Friends who's competent in installing such things what would you suggest: should we ask in a store for door handle that would fit this door or there's other options to get it fit and working?
I just installed my last weekend, you can't beat the price vs quality.
I did not drill the hole, I used some 3m double side tape. it's pretty tight without tape. I add tape just in case

Appreciate in advance for any decent ideas.
I think you just need some longer screws. The door handle opener pin is pretty long, I don't think you need fully insert to the door knob

Definitely NOT looking like a 2-pack, though.
