My criteria was
1) Laser, tired of cartridge shenanigans like ink drying etc
2) Wireless (network print and scan were musts)
3) ADF for multi-sheet scans etc
4) Airprint (for the wife)
This is the cheapest I've seen a printer in awhile that meets that criteria.
I believe I read in another deal that Canon is in the middle of refreshing their product line/rolling out their new models so I'm sure they're clearing out old stock, but for my use, there wasn't anything that I feel this model was lacking.
Yes of course, color would've been cool, but that also brings the issues of buying multiple toner carts, and being able to print in black and white if blue is empty, etc. Also, to be honest, for my uses, I don't really find a spot where a b/w print is unacceptable. If I need something printed in color it may cost a few cents but I've printed at a b&m store the once a year or so I need that.
Thankful OP posted this, and happy I can delete my deal alerts/stop trying to find a good deal on these
As far as reliability and regular black and white printing goes, how does this compare to the Brother L2325dw? If I don't absolutely need the scanning is the brother the better printer?
This one has separate drum like brother printer .... I wish Canon do all in one toner like old time instead of buying 2 pieces drum and toner. this toner is really tiny

Yes, it's a duplex printer.

Don't most color laser come with a separate bw toner cartridge anyway. So you can still use just that. And replace that only if you just print bw
This way you have color when needed.

Some printer models will let you print in just black when color toner is out. Others won't. Depends on the printer and manufacturer.
Didn't Canon kill 3rd party toner user? I stopped looking at Canons coz of this reason
I've never used toner. Does it go bad like ink jet? Or can I let it sit for a few months between prints?
Toner can last years between prints, it pretty much does not dry out. It's a major advantage of laser over inkjets.
What's a good one?
