the problem is they have had a terrible time keeping these in stock anywhere. I doubt there will be much inventory to liquidate at clearance price.
I believe Amazon have this model 65" for 700
Here are my takeaways:
-Blistering peak brightness.
-Minimum brightness could be better.
-Subtitle text is disgustingly bright when the rest of the tv is set to minimum brightness settings.
-The panel on mine has pretty bad black uniformity on the upper right side.
-blacks look great generally, and the tv definitely emulates OLED performance for static images.
-Black smearing is bad. The Panel is VA I believe, and dark scenes with motion have notable black smearing -this is super evident during gaming as well.
-pixel response times are lacking and even in 120hz mode you will experience ghosting while gaming.
-the built-in speaker is amazing.
-UI is snappy.
-Rtings have dramatically over-rated this tv. It's nowhere near as good as my LG CX or LG C2.
I paid ~$800 for the 65-inch, and for that price I think people would be generally satisfied with the performance, but I wouldn't buy it again.
what would you buy in that price range?
$949. Same as BB.
