What's the difference between AX2 and EX2? Both are on sale about same price
Found this comment on PC part picker asking and answering same. Tlr not any difference.
"The AX2, CX2 & EX2 all appear to be similar. They apparently have SLC flash cache, but no DRAM cache. They supposedly perform slightly better than the earlier cacheless GX2 model. However, the GX2 is rated for 3x as many writes (400 TBW for the 512 GB GX2, vs only 120 TBW for the other models)." https://pcpartpicker.com/forums/t...cx2-vx-ex2
I have the 2TB yellow one, AX2 running 24/7 at 24°C as a BlueIris NVR drive and get two weeks of direct-to-disk recording with four 1080 cameras. No problems so far, playback and seek are super snappy. Buy it.
Getting into impulse buy territory.... I'm still rocking an Xbox one x and you wouldn't believe the difference a flash drive and USB to SATA cable makes over the internal HDD. I know most have moved on but it would be a good place to keep your old BC games if you need it on a S or X.
Yeah, I don't have M2 port on my MB.
SSD is easier install.
If you do not have M2 port, you still can use M2 with adaptor. If you have spare video card slot, you need to buy adaptor to install M2. M2 is at least 3000MB/sec, the best SSD is only around 500MB/s. You could see the significant different. If you commuter is too old, for example, my 12 years Dell does support boot from M2, but I still can install a M2 with adaptor, but cannot use it as boot drive. The adaptor cost few dollars from Ebay.
