Sorry for stupid question, but is there a way to tell if this is compatible with a boom arm? Always used headsets with built in mics, but considering switching. Thanks in advance
Don't know anything about this mic but a condenser mic with paired with that tiny stand is a recipe for bad, echo-ey audio. Condensers pick up everything and if you are in an area without sound treatment it's going to sound super echo-ey. If you get this mic I suggest getting a stand to at least get it about 6-9" from your face.
Unless you are using it for a Zoom Meeting where the Zoom software is managing (minimizing) the audio imperfections like echo. So for Zoom meetings probably better than your built in Mic and again at < $11, this may make sense for you.

The Q&A on the item website says you can attach it to a boom.
Got mine Monday. Took it into the office today. The audio volume is REALLY low, even if I jack up the input settings on my laptop. Not sure if others are experiencing this or not.
Got mine and thought I'd throw out a single point of experience. I have a logitech C920 web cam. When I have music playing or my dog is barking at absolutely nothing at the other end of the house, that microphone struggles with voice input, such as to the google assistant's voice search on my computer. This does a far better job of rejecting background noise, hearing me correctly, and it's a much better experience overall at ~12' away from the mic and in a noisy environment.
Great spend of $9.

Some laptops/devices don't put out a lot of power through some or all of their usb ports, and those require either using the full powered usb port or an external power booster.

Never do that again.

FWIW, I got an "is shipping" notification today.
EDIT: Gonna give this a whirl [thewindowsclub.com] next time I'm in the office.
