Now a wifi or bluetooth temp probes, yes!
I got a "Govee Bluetooth Meat Thermometer with 4 Probes" last december and have used it a bunch of times... including some 20hr cooks. Done well. Paid $16 from govee direct on a sale.
WiFi would be nice... but for $16 it works!
I have a Camp Chef Woodwind that's just over 5yrs old... NEVER a flameout, NEVER a fire. I do basic cleans occasionally.... been solid.
If you're considering a Pellet smoker, check out the FB group "Camp Chef Smoker Smokers" It's an excellent group, well admin monitored, and VERY helpful.
I joined weeks before buying... learned a lot, helped me make a decision.
My $.02!

And here is the list of issues I had with it.
Yes they offered to send me a replacement auger pin, (takes 30 mins to get to it) but for the love of almighty God how can so many things fail so quickly?
The very first day we noticed two serious issues with the grill.
1. The selection wheel itself is almost impossible to actually depress without hitting it hard with a finger or knuckle, otherwise it will not recognize the press.
2. The included app was and still is very touchy with its communication to the grill. It's 50/50 at best, despite being 10 feet from a router.
3. A few months in we noticed that despite the sound of the auger turning, in fact it was not.
We dismantled several major pieces only to find out the metal pin connecting the auger to the drive shaft had snapped, which left the shaft spinning freely, unable to support any feeding of pellets into the fire cup.
4. We had to cut a small piece of wire clothes hanger as a pin to work as a makeshift pin, reassembled the pieces and it started working.
This cost me approximately 6 hours of my time.
5. The main thermometer inside the unit constantly reads 32F for some reason, despite the grill being hot and in operation, which requires us to use the temperature probe instead.
6. The hopper itself has an angled design that contributes to piles of pellets hanging out on the side, not going into the hopper, causing the auger/fire cup to not be fed, which eventually turns into a flameout situation.
Altogether this has turned what should have been a smart-automated device Fathers Day present into a machine that needs constant babysitting to operate correctly, despite us buying the recommended Camp Chef Pellets.
I have a discount with them as well. It used to be 40 percent but now it's been lowered to 20 percent.
I'll have to wait for a pellet grill deal for local pick up. Anyone else came across delivery issues from Amazon on this grill?

1. Not sure what yours is like, but it needs some pressure, it's a button? Because it twists and well as depresses it can be a bit tricky but hardly anything worth noting? Sounds like a defective item?
2. My app has been solid to date, rarely have an issue. Is yours iphone or android?
3-4. I've had something similar happen to an old traeger and it's a pain
5. Sounds like a defective unit, have you cleaned it and it's connections or looked into a replacement?
6. They all do this honestly, no design seems like it fixes this issue. My traeger did it too, but worse with its rectangular design, this angled one helps, but doesnt eliminate it by any means.
To the other people who say wifi isnt necessary.....have you actually used one with wifi? It's fantastic. I dont use it from miles away, but being able to control and monitor temps/status from around the house while watching the kids or fixing other parts of dinner is fantastically helpful. I used a bluetooth probe for my traeger and as soon as you go one room away it loses connection, so wifi is the way to go for me. You cannot start or shut down the unit from the app which is unfortunate, but probably for the best, safety wise. Some of the other features I thought I'd love I havent really used but the wifi is my absolute favorite feature. Different strokes for different folks.

Good deal. Ive had this same model for a couple years now and although I haven't used it as much as I would like, it's been extremely reliable when I have. I've done tri tip (probably easiest and my go to), pork spare ribs, brisket, and chicken on this and they've all come out better than expected. I highly recommend the sidekick attachment if you can find one and you don't have a separate gas grill outside.
I was interested in the Bullseye back when it was intro priced (I think $349). I went with a larger camp chef and really wish I had just gotten a RecTeq. My Camp Chef has a failing internal temp probe and tons of rust on the grates despite being covered through the Northern California winter (no snow). It's just not a quality piece of equipment.
