Seriously, though, frags are what saltwater aquarium owners call the small pieces off a large colony. Don't get into the hobby. It is a money pit. It starts off like this: 40 gallon breeder, and clowns and a couple of shrimp.. but then you want corals.. wait, that requires a better light... so you get the light. Then you find more corals or fish or both that you want.. but you are out of the room, so now you need a bigger tank. Wait, more tank space means I need more rock and sand. Oh, and now it's bigger, so I need another light. You get that and then discover evaporation issues, so you buy an auto top-up system. Now I've got all that setup, but now you've got a heavy bio-load on your tank so you need a skimmer. But wait you don't want this equipment in your tank, so you need a sump. So now you've got all that in place and your corals are growing, but they are taking up all the trace elements, so now you need a system that keeps the water minerals at a constant level. Oh I forgot you need RO water which you need to change 10-20% every couple of weeks to help replace trace elements and reduce waste build up. You'll also need pumps for water flow and power heads to circulate the tank at rates just below a washing machine.... then you find more corals, but they have a pest hitchhiker you didn't see and now you
have a infestation in your tank which is eating your corals. So you treat the tank after loosing your most expensive corals. You've got to much invested so you replace them. Everything is going great, but then the power goes out. You panic.. you make it through though. Only to realize your now 2k-5k setup could be wiped out without having a generator. So you buy one of those. Then your heater sticks on one night and you find your tank boiling in the morning all because you didn't buy thermostat for it in the beginning. ... so you are still invested in all the gear, so you decide to restock... then just as everything is going great you decide to take a vacation, everything is setup and while you are gone the power goes out for 2 days, the generator runs out of gas... you come home to discover a tank of death. You sell it all at this point to discover you are about 8k in the hole over a 2-3yr hobby, but your stress levels have improved.
