Very below average battery. But with cool/practical features. I listen to podcasts while working, this is perfect for me. If you like bud live, you will like it.
I bought these twice. Once these refurbs. Once brand new. I ended up returning both. They are great if they meet your needs except for the battery life. It's truly pathetic.

I got these last time there was a refurb sale, and they are pretty cool, but just didn't fit comfortably in my ears so I returned them. I got a set of Plantronics true wireless workout buds that have a similar goal to not block all ambient sound. I'm happy with those.
Any side sleepers would recommend those earbuds? I read on scarbir reviews that those are comfy to wear while sleeping but it didn't mention if it includes side sleeping too, so I just wanna confirm if anyone here knows...
I currently have Samsung earbuds pro 2, they are compact in size but they still bother me.
These are not good for side sleeper. Bose sleepbuds does not have Bluetooth. I recommend Anker A10 buds. I bought them for 129$ and I use them daily listening to podcasts before sleep. They are super comfortable for side sleepers.
This is my experience too. No matter what I tried, they kept falling out. Maybe we just have the wrong ear shape.
The fitting for this earbuds is rather different than conventional earbuds. The fitting ring is not supposed to tuck underneath any ear groove. This is unlike the instructions given by Sony. The hook is supposed to touch outer ear. That means unless your ear is abnormally large, one of the ring will fit.
I have these right now and use them for podcasts. I think they are great for that use case while walking through a store or somewhere you might want to be aware of your surroundings.
The biggest negative for me is the track skipping, pausing, etc. when I'm chewing something crunchy like chips or peanuts.
Turn off "Wide Area Tap". I had the same problem as you and forgot about this setting, problem solved.

I recently got a pillow with ear holes. It's amazing with or without earbuds.
I recall $35 range the year after they were released. Tons of returns because these do indeed suck as regular earphones.
Instead, they are for 1 niche use - people who want to hear both phone calls and the person next to you clearly simultaneously at all times regardless of how noisy the environment is, and they don't need any bass at all.

They're comfortable for side sleeping, but fit is an issue - for me at least, they have a tendency to fall out.

How long did the battery last? How about sound quality?
A couple days after ordering I received an email stating that my purchase includes a 2-year warranty. That wasn't mentioned in the listing so it's a nice bonus:
Your Certified Refurbished item(s) comes with a two-year warranty, serviced by SquareTrade, an Allstate company. Your warranty is automatically applied from the date of purchase.

You'll have to move to bone conducting headsets like the military.
These transmit sound directly into your head's bone, so no issues getting the voice calls into your ear.
....
For less noisy outdoor areas, the top earbuds/headphones from Sony/bose can do decent.
But the short mic on these means the noisiest places will destroy your voice being captured clearly.
Instead, you'll need a long boom mic headset like the pilots use.
Plantronics for example.

ABSOLUTELY do not buy these if you don't understand that and don't need great audio quality you'd normally get from even a $10 pair of jlabs.
