May I ask about the difference in models? Couldn't discern between the two product listings, what's your take between the two?
I'm led to believe that this is not a random orbital buffer, but a rotary polisher that you can vary the speed on. This has a bigger backing plate as well. Random orbital buffers are a bit safer for paint, especially when you're an amateur and a buffoon like me.
Polishers are great on bringing old paint back to life. Orbitals are better for light polishing and for wax
Not sure if it's a good deal, or if HD still does the "hack", but that version is selling for $222 with the free battery at $107.
There were some stores in TX where the MSRP was labeled lower, so the deal ended up being around $150, which is absolutely a deal. (Just checked, Fair Ave HD in San Antonio)
It wasn't easy but after talking to HD customer service I got them to price match and ship to my house about a month ago.
