The most telling thing I found was a comment in a Timberland sunglasses thread (EyeDictive sale here on SD) and someone said they contacted Timberland directly about the authenticity of EyeDictive's inventory and Timberland said it's not genuine and they are currently pursuing legal action against them.
EyeDictive is clearly a huge supporter of Slickdeals, a Staff member posted this deal after all and it has Cashback with Slickdeals own cashback program. But don't let that make you think the product is genuine. The "business" certainly is.
Funny thing is, on older EyeDictive threads, ED actually had an employee account that would answer product questions here on SD but was always silent on authenticity questions. You'd think if these weren't fake they would have easily replied to those comments. The FAQ on their website says :
Are your frames authentic?
All of the frames we carry are 100% Authentic and Brand New! We feature high-end brand-name frames, as well as one of a kind boutique models.
Here's the conclusion: The site has a lot of customers happy with what they got. When another commentor says they know their product is genuine because it came with tags/box/warranty cards, I kind of laugh because all good fakes have that stuff. Not just in sunglasses but replica jerseys, shoes, etc. But the customer is happy and they've done a good enough job to convince people they are real. Maybe they are, maybe they aren't.
A quick search for incorporation info (someone please share if they find something else) yields suspicious results:
So you have an address here that is basically a condo on the water. And the name listed as the agent doesn't really yield anything related to EyeDictive on Google.
"Menachem Brod" is listed as the "CEO" of 2 different companies.
Honestly figuring out whether this is some Chinese company selling fakes via a good relationship with SD or if this is an actual legit reseller of overstock genuine inventory is one of my favorite SD pastimes.
EDIT: Notice how even though my comment has the green banner saying it was useful, they didn't put it under a "featured comments" banner towards the top of the post.
DOUBLE EDIT: Ok a week later it's included.
Buy and presume it is fake and you won't be disappointed.
I've purchased somewhere between 10 and 15 pairs of sunglasses, various well known brands, over the years from Eyedictive. I have no affiliation with them. Just a regular Slickdealer and cheapskate. Each and every pair came in original case, box, packaging, with warranty cards and/or manufacturer paperwork, wrappers, etc.
I can say with confidence that each pair is genuine and not fake or replica.
I've saved hundreds if not thousands of dollars off of MSRP with this vendor.

Oh boy oh boy, better not like BMW or VW (which includes Audi, Porsche, Lamborghini, Bentley, Bugatti) either then, or the US government (Operation Paperclip anyone?). Better not use any Bayer products. The AP? Better avoid them too. Coca-Cola? You bet. Especially Fanta.
Honestly yeah and adidas and puma both companies founded by a nazi. So yeah actually all of those brands I avoid. As beautiful as German cars are, I wouldn't be caught dead owning one.

Is products falso, quality unsatisfactory,. I brought two in Different moments Lenses and frames.
The frames folded and the lenses began to fall like a layer of sheet also began to peel off the frame were of the brand of Nike and Salvatore Ferrano. This happened in my case
They are high-quality and come with a high-quality case, etc. Looking at the glasses (and even in the picture at the link above) I favor them to be factory seconds over fakes. If you look at the "Hugo" logo (on the earpiece, not on the lens itself) in the picture above, it appears to be off-center (as it does on the actual glasses that I received.) Again, they could be fake, but the glasses, overall appear to be higher quality than typical fakes. So I think that for this model they were seconds with an off-center logo. Overall, I am happy with them.
I like the comment that says assume that they will be fakes and you won't be disappointed/might be pleasantly surprised

He can't own American, Japanese, Korean, or British vehicles either by his logic. Maybe he rides a bicycle.

Genuinely curious what you drive then. Because by that logic, you wouldn't drive American, Japanese, Korean, or British either.

Im 100% sure their Smith optics or any brands owned by safilo group is real and authentic, they drop shipping from corporate itself, Boss is from safilo group but I don't know why its not authentic. I bought many times from eyedictive n always satisfy with my purchases
if i have to contact the manufacturer to find out if its fake,i say they done a pretty good job. i had about 5/6 pairs from them in the pass. the products i received never occurred that might be fake.
I have bought about a half dozen from this site and my opinion is some are real, and some may not be.
Some were quality hinges lenses and some just seemed like cheap plastic, so maybe if some are knock offs it would be the ones that are more easily replicated.
