I'm guessing one driver for the discounting is that tower fans have largely fallen out of favor with review web sites.

I got for this price back in September loved it.
Would get another at this price but still 99.99 at Target here and at Amazon.

This is a good price for a Vornado of this size. And it's one that can connect to Alexa, so that's handy if it's a feature you're interested in. But even just as a tower fan it works well. I have it in the corner of my office and use it just about every day.
