Fyi, these are brushed motor variety, at their typical sale price.

A decent deal, but I'm holding out for the brushless. (Currently $189.)

Even at the lowest of the low sale price you're still $50 more expensive than this. Just buy the brushed. IMO brushless, for this kit, isn't worth the upcharge.

I picked this up last week for $99 -11% rebate ($88) at Menards. I used it this past weekend to build a stand for my 75 gallon aquarium. This kit worked better than my old Dewalt 18v kit with aged batteries. For around the house use, I'm impressed. Being small and light is nice. I'm tempted to buy a second set just for the extra batteries.

Good drills if you only need drills, have a few at work that still work after 5 years of beating. The bosch 12v ecosystem is very small though, wait for a Milwaukee deal if you want 12v drills with a a huge variety of tools to use the batteries with

I've used these drills for the past 5 years. They work absolutely amazing compared to what you get for the same size drill in other brands. On bigger jobs where I need to continuously drill however I switch to 20v

This is a great set for the average homeowner. It is lightweight and will work great for 90+% of what you are doing. I got it for my wife since the 18v is too heavy for her. I am sure I will borrowing these for a lot of quick hit jobs around the house instead of grabbing the 18v.

Great combo. If you can get M12 kit for the same price, then go with that, but for $50 less go with this for aroudn the house use.

I agree it is a great combo i picked up one set with LED light for my daughter and then another set for MIL not that they use them just at their homes for when I need to fix something. For the size/weight very hard to beat. The soft case does not take up much space but you can throw in some bits/drivers.

Funny how people will complain about the price then post about a kit that is 1/2 the price and others will say it is junk.

This is a decent set and the "usual' sale price has been 99 bucks for a while I picked up mine in 2019 so same price as 3+ years ago is a deal.

Very bad deal for the spec. No one even buys these in hardware stores because they are overpriced and poorly engineered.
"Poorly engineered"?

Love my set, I think I've had it for 4 years now. A week ago I dropped the drill in a full bucket of water. I took it apart, dried it, and it's still running like a champ. I'm sure this did horrible things to its bearings and overall longevity, but I've gotten my moneys worth out of it. it's been adequate for 90% of what I need to use it for around the house, and the lightness and portability cannot be beat.

You can get the previous generation M12 kit that is similar to this for $120. I don't think that's a great kit (brushed, non-fuel, older version), but arguably better than the bosch. You can also hack the HD deal and get the fuel version of this kit for $140 before tax.
