For folks asking about the 12 months of service part, all of that is answered in the original thread: https://slickdeals.net/f/16487416-mint-mobile-128gb-google-pixel-7-unlocked-smartphone-12-month-4gb-plan-289-recovery-fee-port-in-required-free-s-h?page=76#commentsHeader

tldr: Needs to be a ported in number. GV works (create a new gmail account, pay google $3 to port out). People who dont care about the 12 months mint service can just discard the activation kit and treat this as a $289 unlocked phone.

Oh - I see it as a non-factor. Most are getting the deal (seemingly) for the good price on the phone. I don't even want the plan shipped with it, was able to flip it for $50 bucks.

Wonder how people will feel about this (admittedly great) deal after the recent news. I am conflicted too

Where did you flip for $50? Locally?

Yeah. Most people are asking $90 or more for the plans. I figured a win is a win, and flipping something I wasn't going to use anyways for $50 bucks is a win.

I agree. I just asked cause I see them going for a lot less than $50 on eBay.

I may have gotten lucky because this guy was porting in from AT&T so he was getting a 12-month plan worth $180 for $50. He probably didn't look much further.

news of Pixel 7a has dampened my enthusiasm a little.
Why? 7a will probably launch at $449 with equivalent or lower specs than 7.

I'm buying it for a $289 Pixel 7, don't care about TMo takeover. I'll care more in a year when (if) they don't have buy-3mo-get-3mo-free around Black Friday and into Christmas, but nothing to do with this offer. Smilie

I searched ebay and do not see any listings for anywhere near $50 or less. Link?
