For folks asking about the 12 months of service part, all of that is answered in the original thread: https://slickdeals.net/f/16487416-mint-mobile-128gb-google-pixel-7-unlocked-smartphone-12-month-4gb-plan-289-recovery-fee-port-in-required-free-s-h?page=76#commentsHeader

tldr: Needs to be a ported in number. GV works (create a new gmail account, pay google $3 to port out). People who dont care about the 12 months mint service can just discard the activation kit and treat this as a $289 unlocked phone.

Oh - I see it as a non-factor. Most are getting the deal (seemingly) for the good price on the phone. I don't even want the plan shipped with it, was able to flip it for $50 bucks.

Attempted it 4 times on the last FP post because my order kept getting canceled. Used paypal to take advantage of that 5% citi cash back offer and used same billing and shipping adresses too. Mint support didn't know the reason for the issue and just kept telling me to reorder.

Finally got my shot and this time again I am not using paypal. Hopefully it goes through this time. Good birthday present for myself. It appears out of stock now though so keep your eyes peeled out if you want to jump on this deal again. Good luck everyone!

Hi, does this mean I can get this phone, plug in my current SIM, and I'm good to go? If that's the case, this deal is better than the Pixel 6a at $299 that's on Frontpage?

Yes, my wife did exactly this as she has another month already paid for with her current (non-Mint) plan. Just be sure to transfer your number within 45 days of the purchase date or you'll lose the year of service. From what I gather it sounds like the Pixel 7 is what the 6a should have been in terms of reliability and quality.

There's no more CDMA in the US. CDMA is 2G/3G tech which has all shut down here. Verizon is LTE and 5G only now, just like AT&T and TMo.
that's what I thought too. But Verizon CS kept insisting phones must have CDMA otherwise it won't work.

How hard is it to move my metro pcs to mint after I get this deal? $20/ month plan is great for my parents ( after the $15x$45 3 months intro) which I'm not sure if they will give it to folks who get this deal

So, if I already have months left on my existing Mint service, could I get this deal (assuming they're not sold out), and just swap my SIM card into the new phone? They wouldn't allow that with the last offer.

Just added to cart and placed my order. Don't really want the phone but I'd rather have it than you guys.

I'll let you know if they cancel or it goes through.

Am I stupid for thinking this, or should I get this and sell the Pixel I have for ~$450 and get some money back and a fresh pixel?
